1959 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
This is the truck everyone is after! Built like a tank, with great curves, and style. When you hear the phrase “they don’t make ‘em like that anymore” you’ll know where it came from.I’ve had this restored back to it’s original look, with a complete “bed off” paint job in original paint color, Galway Green (codes U3556 2U3556D 703A, 731B, D, E, J, K), with gold interior, beautiful new matching green/white vinyl seat cover, and white accents.Riding on a brand new set of Coker tires on original steel rims, and stock chevy hub caps. This truck would make a great show truck, business advertisement, or weekend cruiser that will break necks as you drive by!The hard work has truly been done, and done right! It has the original legendary strait 6 cylinder 235 engine, that as I was told, was rebuilt about 30k ago. Starts right up, runs great, doesn’t burn oil, and no leaks. It has the original 3 speed (3 on the tree) manual column shift transmission, I’m told had a clutch replacement about 10k miles ago. I don’t know a lot about the mechanicals, and want to be clear that you are free to come and take a look at it and evaluate the truck as it sits today. My original intent was to redo everything…but because of this truck’s originality I’ve decided to keep it in tact and sell as is. It does have a few minor things still to be done but comes with parts (weather stripping, glass, etc). Bed floor is new, oak, and bed walls and cab floor double coated in Por15 bed liner.I’ll leave it up to the new owner to do with as they please. This truck could easily be enjoyed as is, and be a “time machine” investment, or could be “upgraded” with a new drive train and become a $40k jewel. For you purists out there, the original tires were solid black, so I added the coker wide white sidewalls, as an “upgrade”, and the bed steps were galway green and I made them white for accent. The original seat was solid black, maybe I should have stuck with that, but I thought the green and white was another good “touch”.….otherwise this is how it looked when it was driven off the showroom floor nearly 60 years ago! Happy to send more pix, and video of truck running to serious buyers.Plan extra time wherever you go in this, because people with want to take pictures and talk about it. Then again, if you were in a hurry you wouldn’t be driving this! Enjoy the journey.
