1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Additional Info:
This is a wonderful Corvair convertible. You won't find a betterone for this price. The 24 photos will speak for themselves, but here is a little more information. I purchased this convertible about 2 years ago and have enjoyed driving it to car shows and in parades. It was in very good condition when I purchased it, but I went through it to get it looking as close as possible to the original show room condition. 2016 is this car's 50th anniversary. It runs great with lots of power, no smoke, and shifts perfect. I replaced some mismatched hub caps to the great looking correct-year hub caps. The tires are like new. I added a main shut-off switch next to the battery since it staysin a storage building and cover up (the cover is included) except for very brief and short drives. The car is in excellent over-all condition and it's capable of being driven anywhere. There 2 minor issues that I want to make you aware of. The 1st is the convertible top rear plastic window is coming loose at the top right corner. The top is good otherwise. I never used the top or intended to driver this beautiful convertible with the top up anyway, so I didn't worry about it. a replacement window cost about $122 from Clark's Corvair parts (which is where I purchase the new great looking boot to cover the convertible top while it's stowed in the down position. The 2nd issue is the original AM radio doesn't work. It's in good looking condition, but it doesn't work. This never concerned me because realistically, I wouldn't have listened to an AM radio anyway. It may be repairable or you could just purchase a replacement on eBay for about $25-$75. Otherwise this car is in great shape and doesn't need any work or repairs. I was told the mileage showing is original, but I can't verify it. Why am I selling it? I've decided to sell all 3 cars in my classic car collection. The other 2 cars aremy 1968 Karmann Ghia coupe(listed today on eBay) and my 1957 Nash Metropolitan convertible (not listed yet). I can offer free deliver within 50 miles of Cottonport, LA. Otherwise, you will be responsible for transportation, but I'll help your transporter any way I can.
