1988 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Additional Info:
For sale is a great survivor car, 1988 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Station Wagon with an extremely low 48,000+ miles (mileage will vary due to being driven almost daily). Mileage can be verified in a CarFax report. Color is a light blue metallic with a blue cloth interior. This car was purchased in Sealy, Texas and resided in a garage in Sealy, Texas up until about a year ago. This car has never been wrecked, has no body rust and has a non-smoker history. Interior has no cracks, rips or tears and no sagging headliner. The chrome and stainless are in unbelievable condition.
This fully optioned car has a 5.0L (307 Olds) motor with a 4 bbl. carb, 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission, power steering, power disc/drum brakes, air conditioning (upgraded to R134a), cruise control, tilt column, two way tailgate, with power window and luggage rack . Everything works on this car. It cruises down the road like riding in a "Lazy Boy". The second and third row seating will fold down in the floor allowing for a massive amount of hauling space. It can carry a 4'x8' sheet of plywood with no problem. This car has no rattles or squeaks going down the road, no wind noise and all doors close very solid.
Recently replaced service items include a new radiator, fuel pump, front brakes, drivers door window motor, complete exhaust from converter back and a full set of 4 new whitewall tires.
The chassis is in great shape for a 29 year old car and considering the factory did not paint the frame or suspension parts and that bare metal pieces DO surface rust after a short time. There is NO scale rust anywhere. If you want pictures of the underside, please send me your email so that I can send them directly to you.
Under the hood has been touched very little, just the mentioned service items above being replaced. There is surface rust on factory bare metal items such as hood hinges and springs. The air cleaner came with a very thin coat of paint from the factory and so did the metal valve covers. The thin areas of these have surface rusted due to being exposed to air like all cars. So therefore bare metal surfaces rust. There is no scale rust anywhere on this car as would be on a northern car in less than a year of new car purchase.
Note: Front and rear bumper filler panels need replacing.

DON'T MISS OUT! Just think, this is very inexpensive transportation. What can you buy today for this amount, has only 48,000+ miles in this condition. This is an 8 passenger car that has all the creature comforts and a large cabin to carry almost anything. It carries more than most Suburbans. Ride in a real classic that you can actually work on yourself when needed. Purchase with confidence. A local licensed appraiser looked at this vehicle and commented that market value was $12,500. So I am way below market in my asking price. Check out my Ebay rating and longevity. Thanks for looking.
