Used 1992 Full Size Chevy Blazer 2 door 4WD
I have a 1992 2 door full size Chevrolet Blazer for sale. Please read full description and look at all pictures before bidding.
The vehicle was purchased new by a man who gave it to his son, who sold it to me. It has lived in New Jersey its entire life.
Vehicle was purchased 6 months ago, after the vehicle was purchased it was discovered that the vehicle had frame rot deep up inside the frame.I am now reselling this Blazer because it is not the vehicle I thought I was purchasing, I do not have the time nor tools to replace or restore the frame.
Vehicle currently needs a new frame and body mounts. Please understand this is a project vehicle.
Vehicle can be bought and parted out or can be restored.
Vehicle details:
162,300 miles on 5.7 liter Chevy 350 4WD.Automatic transmission shifts smoothly, engine starts right up.Aftermarket exhaust makes for great sound. Vehicle actually runs very well and surprisingly drives very sturdy (one of the reasons why I bought the vehicle, I obviously was deceived about the frame rot). The engine, transmission and 4WD are strong. Vehicle is currently being driven “around town” & for errands by me and me alone. Clean title, new gas tank, clean Carfax. Passed NJ inspection until 2017.
The ABS module was taken out by previous owner, so the vehicle no longer has anti-locking brakes. After market stereo with only rear speakers working. Power windows and power driver seat functioning fine.
The body is in pretty good condition despite the hood with rust spots and the driver door has rust as well. I had planned on painting the hood and installing louver/vents and probably purchasing or repainting the driver door. I had big plans for this vehicle,…..lift kit, paint touchups, bigger tires,…she was going to be my baby….
New fuel line and new rear brake line installed right after purchase.Tires still have a bunch of meat. Vehicle has tow hitch but I cant say its sturdy.
-windshield does have a crack
A new/newer frame can be purchased for $600-$1,200.I had a mechanic estimate it to take about 1 week of labor to replace the frame. This vehicle is definitely a part out or a “mechanics special”/”project vehicle”.If you are handy and have the tools and time this truck is a no brainer,….
Same mechanic who estimated frame said you could get $2,500 on part out,…
Please email me with questions…..
