1965 Chevrolet Nova Additional Info:
This is Nova with 88,403.7 miles on it you have to see in real life to believe photos don't do it justice its in overall an original condition (It was repainted years ago) Nova hard top with a smooth running 230 six with a 2 speed Powerglide car, very clean original shape, perfect for stock restoration, or a resto-mod. the car is very complete and it drives, it was parked for years but never modified outside of some period correct Stewart Warner gauges mounted under the dash. Interior needs work, head liner is drooping and ripped and the seats have some tears from 51 years of use.
The car is factory radio delete not that common, in a California cars. The motor fires up with a turn of the key and two quick pumps on the throttle and idles smoothly no smoke from the exhaust.
This car was in a friend of mines family for over 40 years driven daily by his dad. When his father took ill and could no longer drive the car was parked and it was setting every since it was repainted once years ago and has had some touch up paint work done in some spots.
I bought it with intention of building a custom bodied Pro Touring car out of it but it's honestly too nice and original to cut up, so I bought another car and now I need the space. Since I bought the car all I've done to it was get it running which consisted of charging the battery and cleaning the points and carb in which it fired right up. I buffed the paint out the trunk because it had termite dropping on it as it was stored in an old wooden shed, popped off the hub caps (which I believe are from a '62 Nova) and painted the rims black to give it the hot rod on a budget look from the sixties
I've driven the car around my neighborhood, but the brakes are very hard to stop they require a lot of pedal pressure, (although they seemed to be getting better the more I drove it). If you're looking for a solid first gen Nova for a project car or just a driver this is a great car to start from. I've been involved in cars and car building for 40 plus years and this is the cleanest original Nova I've seen in many years.
