1968 Camaro Convertible SS 350 Tribute

Car is an original R1 code car that is Matador Red exterior, white convertible top car. Top is a manual top.

Underwent a 4 ½ year rotisserie restoration with all new sheet metal fitted including complete passenger compartment floor and trunk floor, inner and outer wheel houses, rear frame rails, inner and outer tail pans, full quarter panels, doors, fenders and hood. Completed in August 2014.

Drivetrain consists of Professionally Built 355 cubic inch 4 bolt main block with all new eagle crankshaft and rods which were balanced. Comp cams dual energy cam 462/482 lift 275/277 duration to complement the over the counter GM Performance Vortec heads. Compression ratio of 9.9:1 makes 350 horsepower and 410 ft/lbs torque on 93 octane pump gasoline. Topped withRoad Demon 725 cfm vacuum secondary carb. Heavy duty aluminum radiator keeps it all cool.

Right Stuff front disc brake conversion new vac booster, master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders and all stainless steel brake lines and fuel line.

M20 4 speed transmission which was completely rebuilt with new gear set, bearings and soft parts. Shifted by Hurst Competition Plus Shifter.

12 bolt differential with 3:42 gears rebuilt with new ring and pinion and bearings.

Interior is done in Parchment Pearl featuring TMI Sport bucket seat upgrade with side bolsters for better comfort. Tic-toc-tac and console gauges for the authentic SS look.

Wheels are Wheel Vintique Chrome Rallyes 16 x 8 rear 16 x 6 front, with 68 Caprice wire wheel spinners for a unique look. Wrapped in Cooper RSA tires.

Multiple show winner and also selected to be in 2016 Carlisle All GM Nationals Invitational Display this past June where it was a crowd favorite.

Car has a replacement vin tag issued from the State of Pennsylvania, have a complete paper trail of this process. Previous owner started restoration and didn't protect vin tag during sandblasting and destroyed it. Car is also titled as an Antique Auto in Pennsylvania.
