1959 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Additional Info:

1959 Bel AirLs1t56 6 speed

Up for auction is a killer Pro Touring 1959 Bel Air! This car was built to be driven, and it does it very will. This is a no expense spared high end build, with lots and lots of time and money invested. This car has everything you could ask for, late model fuel injected drive-train, plenty of power, cold AC, modern power steering, 6 speed manual, modern gauges, modern brakes and suspension, navigation, back up camera, power seats, and more!
This car is an absolute blast to drive! It runs, drives, rides, handles and performs extremely well. I just got back from a 250 mile trip and it performed flawlessly. I had the AC on and ran 75mph the entire way. Its geared nice and turns low RPMs at highway speeds. I would estimate that I got over 20 mpg. The car is super tight driving and has lots of power. Its seals up well and is nice and quiet inside. You would never know you were in a 60 year old car.
This is a fresh Nut and Bolt build with only 350 miles since completion. Everything on this car was gone through. Every clip, screw, bearing, and bolt. This was a very thorough restoration. A 3 year build with no expense spared.
When you start with a good car, they turn out that much better in the end, and this was an incredible one to start with/ This is as solid of a car as you will ever find. Look at the pics prior to the restoration, this was an original paint, well preserved car that was never exposed to the elements. It has all its original body panels, bumpers, and sheet metal. Every piece of its original glass including the original windshield. There are not many out there like this. Anyone can take a car and weld in new metal and buy every new reproduction part available. Thats not the case with this car. The doors open and close very nice and the car seals up extremely well.
The underside of the car is unbelievably clean! You don't come across cars this solid very often. The floor pans, body mounts, and braces are original metal and have no signs of rust what so ever. Its hard to believe that the underside of this 59 looks as good as it does and has not been worked over. It was literally scuffed and painted. There was one tiny amount of surface rust in the trunk that was repaired and that is it. This is a boxed frame car from the factory. The floors were finished in a factory like red oxide primer. The frame was stripped clean and painted gloss black. The rear end was also painted gloss black. A posi unit was installed along with a custom built slip yoke drive shaft. All the front suspension and steering parts are painted and detailed nicely.
The paint and body wereprofessionallydone and look great. The paint color chosen is a Aston Martin color and is very close to the original Aspen Green Metallic. It was done in Base coat clear coat and all high quality materials were used. The car has been cut and buffed nice and flat. Very little was used in the car, as it needed no rust repair or panel replacement. When the car was built it was completely apart. It was painted with the front clip off, doors off, all trim off etc.
While the bright work was off the car, it was all restored. All the trim was straightened and polished and all the chrome parts were sent to the platers.
The motor is a super clean low mileage LS1 from a 2002 Camaro. The 01-02 camaro LS1s are the ones to have. They came stock with the ls6 intake, and were rated at 350hp. With the tune, intake, headers, 3" exhaust, and no cats, it should be around the 400hp mark. The car breaths through a set of $1000 Kooks headers and 3" exhaust. It sounds great!
The trans is a T56 six speed that came from the same 2002 Camaro. It shifts nice and makes no noises.
Under the hood is nice and clean, no times spared here either. It has a custom built enclosed air box. A set of fabricated aluminum coil covers were painted to match.
The wheels and tires are new as well. They are 2 piece billet wheels from Esajian, custom built for this car. 22x10 in the rear and 20x8.5 up front. Polished wheels with brushed inserts. They are wrapped in new z rated rubber.
The suspension on this 59 is also all new. It has a fully adjustable digital air ride setup from RideTech. This the the Digital RidePro package with the AirPod. It has fully programmable ride height settings. It can beprogrammedto raise the car to a preset ride height once it started. It has Ridetech Fox Shocks on the front and rear. The car rides and handles great. It has new tubular upper and lower control arms and new dropped spindles. It has a upgraded 1 1/8" sway bar.
The car has a modern close ratio 500 series power steering box. It steers great and is nice and tight.
This 59 gets its stopping power from a massive 14" z06 Corvette brake setup. Fed by a new Wilwood master cylinder and all new lines.
The interior is all new as well and is very nicely done. It features a set of power bucket seats that are very comfortable. It new headliner, door panels, package tray, and carpet. Everything is done in 2 toned ultra leather and the fit and finish is top notch.
A custom built console houses a modern 8" screen with all the latest technology. It has a full color back up camera, internet web browsing, turn by turn GPS navigation, games, Bluetooth, a dvd player, wireless music streaming, and more. It has custom speakers and sounds nice!
A new Ididit tilt steering column was installed, along with a color matched billet steering wheel.
The dash was painted body color and a new set of Dakota Digital VHX gauges was installed to monitor the car. It has an integrated check engine light, signal indicators, monitors your high speed. 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, and more.
The car has Gen 5 vintage air setup that was nicely installed. The lines are routed clean and don't go straight through the firewall like the kit recommends. The vents were all nicely custom installed in the dash and have a clean look. The air blows ice cold!
I have owened and built countless X frame cars. This is the best performing car I have owned. It does everything right. This is a true pro touring car that can be driven hard and was built to handle it. I wouldn't be afraid to go anywhere in it. There aren't many 59s out there this solid and this nicely built. If you wanted a good one, this is it.
