I would describe this car as a good looking driver. Although this car has been in shows and won awards, I do not describe this car as a "show car". If you are looking for a show car, this is not the car for you. If you are looking for a fully documented car with dealer paperwork and a build sheet, this is not the car for you. If you are looking for a car that has had every nut and bolt taken off and polished, this is not the car for you. The car is 46 years old, if you are looking for a "like new" car, this is not the car for you. Now that that is out of the way, what you have here is a good looking driver quality car that is an absolute blast to drive. I bought this car from a friend in California where the car was built. His info was that the car remained there until I drove it here to Georgia. Still have the "Black Plate" if that is your thing. Because of the car being in CA., rust is very minimal for a car this age. Some would post "rust free" but I don't say what is not true. If you open the door and shine a light in at the back side of the fender, you are probably going to see some surface rust. So I am not going to say "rust free" as some would. The car is very solid and rust is not the concern it would be when buying a car this age. I have bought other older cars and know all about buying a car with rust issues. This car is not that. He built and installed the Mark Four big block. The engine came from a friends 72' LS5 Corvette. Enhancements include: Forged crank, Scat Sportsman rods, KB Hypereutectic 10.5/1 pistons that are .030 oversize, netting just over 460 cubic inches, GMPP windage tray, Melling HV pump, Crane solid lifter camshaft that is a bit stouter than the LS6 cam, Comp pushrods and roller tip rockers, the #241 large iron oval port heads have been converted to the larger 2.19/1.88 stainless Manley valves. The heads are port matched to a Edelbrock Performer 2-O manifold. Ignition comes by way of a MSD 6AL CDI unit with a Pro Billet distributor and Blaster coil. The result is a mill that makes over 500 lb/ft of torque early and often. A virtual dyno showed 544 hp, however close that is, the car runs strong. The Muncie M20 was rebuilt along with the GM 12 bolt rear that was fitted with a Eaton LSD carrier and 3.31 gears. I have put about 30k miles on it after the build. Any worn suspension parts have been replaced and the steering box was replaced with the quick ratio box. Front and rear stabilizer bars are larger than stock. Out back along with the boxed lower control arms are no hop bars and adjustable upper arms with a Heim joint at the frame end. Radial T/A's on it so it easily overpowers the tires but with some sticky tires, I'm sure it would hook. The front calipers have been replaced with Wilwood dual piston billet units that take the stock GM pads. The paint is fair with some fading of the upper surfaces along the fenders and hood. Exhaust starts with Sanderson headers, 2.5" tubing, X pipe and Hooker Aerochamber mufflers. It creates a sound any muscle car lover will enjoy. Buyer is responsible for transportation or pick up costs. The car is located in NW Georgia. Payment is due on delivery or within seven days of end of auction. Reserve is well below a recent appraisal for insurance. Sale of car is because of move out of country.
