Up for auction is a quadruple black 1971 Corvette Convertible (with auxiliary hard top) 4-Speed, 350 (270 hp) matching numbers car with air conditioning, power steering and tilt/telescopic steering wheel. This car is part of my father's estate, which my brother and I are helping my mother sell. My father bought this Corvette in 1994 from the USA, it has been driven very little and stored in a garage ever since. This is a very clean and presentable driver quality Corvette. It runs and drives great, however, there are a couple areas which could use attention. The paint shines nice and looks great from 10 feet, but up close inspections reveal some scratches and blemishes. The vacuum lines need to replaced for operating headlights doors, wiper cover and other vacuum operated accessories. The interior door handle needs replacing. The shifter linkage is on the loose side and the radio currently does not work. Some of the under hood a/c components are missing, specifically the compressor. That being said it is a very fun car to drive and has loads of potential. Someone with little mechanical skill could spend a few hours on this car to fix these few minor repairs, plus have the potential to make some money. The leather seat covers, carpet and top were replaced when my father bought the car. Shortly after the top was replaced a small hold showed up about the diameter of a pencil, which was repaired but you can tell where it was. We are serious about selling and it is priced to sell. I believe it is one of the best priced Corvettes with these options and in this condition around. This car is located in southern Alberta. As we have sold a few of my father’s other cars into the USA, we know it is extremely easy to bring cars like this back into the USA. There are no duties or tax charged by Customs and the process is simple and straight forward. I will assist in any way I can, including free inside storage. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. If you have any questions, please contact me.
I will also be listing a 1969 Dodge Super Bee (also from the estate), so please check it out if you are interested.
Thank you
