1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Additional Info:

This real deal 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS is an excellent opportunity to own a beautiful, ut and bolt restored, plit bumper Camaro, overed in a rare color. It represents a desirable F2 "Super Hugger" that shows the right hardware down to the CTB suffix stamp on the LT-1 engine. This Camaro left the Van Nuys, A assembly line covered in a stunning coat of code 67 Classic Copper with Classic White stripes. That Copper paint is certainly a coat you need to see in person. It's mixed with a lot of flake and absolutely glows in the sunlight. Up front is a chrome split bumper that mounts beneath correct T3 branded headlights and Z/28 RS specific parking lamps. All of the badges look new and are mounted in the correct locations, ncluding the Z/28 badge on the option D80 rear decklid spoiler. That spoiler is mounted above the great looking quad tail light formation, nd a smooth chrome bumper. Sitting on 5 spoke rally wheels and complete with sport mirrors, his is a well finished look that is rare to find today.

Inside is a code 730 Sandlewood Knit Vinyl bucket seat interior. The strato-bucket seats wear firm vinyl and show little signs of age. Behind those buckets is a split rear that has accommodations for two passengers. Facing the driver is an exclusive Burl wood dash that houses a Z/28 specific 150 mph speedometer and 6500 rpm redline tachometer, ater temperature gauge, mperage gauge, uel level, nd an optional clock. Beneath is an AM radio, witches for the heat/defrost, nd the glove box, ut little else. It's still a very clean and straight dashboard. The door panels are a two tone tan and light tan finish and present very clean with a control for the driver's side mirror on the driver's side door. Further authenticating the Z/28 status is the exclusive correct gas pedal mounted underneath.

Powering this F2 is a 350 cubic inch, 60 horsepower LT-1 that has been confirmed with a CTB suffix stamp. Van Nuys built cars make it hard to confirm the authenticity of a Z/28 drive train, he 'Z28' RPO code was absent from L.A. built body tags, ut being the dedicated gear heads that we are we have confirmed that this is a correct power plant through the part number of the 780cfm Holley carburetor, nother tell tale sign of the Z/28. That 360 horsepower small block sends power to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission that twists optional 4.10 gears housed in a 12 bolt rear end. Underneath you'll find clean hardware throughout with the Z28 RS specific front and rear sway bars included with the F41 sport suspension. The 350 sends spent gasses through a dual exhaust system for a characteristic exhaust note. There is also J50 power brakes that feature discs up front, topping the 225/70/15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A rubber.

"An automobile of uncommon merit...a car of brilliant performance.." is how Car and Driver quoted the 1970 Camaro Z/28. Few of these cars were built in 1970 because of GM strikes, ars that were later built received less power. This is a rare opportunity to own a highly desirable, lean F2 that will certainly stake a claim in the collector car marketplace. Call today!
