1962 Chevrolet Impala Additional Info:
Up for auction is a 1962 Chevy Impala two door coupe. It has a 283 and Power glide transmission with an open rear. The car runs and drives great, just drove it two and a half hours home from a car show. It has rebuilt stock heads with a four barrel Edelbrock carburetor. Stock exhaust manifolds with nice sounding turbo mufflers that exit in front of the rear tires. the power glide shifts great. The entire front end is rebuilt with new control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rods, center link, idler arm and big block coil springs. That gives it the super stock look. The tires are all new red lines up front and bigger tires in the back. The radiator is a new aluminum model painted black. The water pump, fuel pump, and hoses are all new. The heater core is not connected at this time. The plugs, points, and all related tune up components are new. The entire brake system is new including master cylinder, booster, shoes, wheels cylinders and so on. The interior is really nice for a driver. The floors are really solid and have some repairs done in trunk see pics. Both inner rockers have small holes. I will add pics on lift to show that this week. The car wears almost all of its original paint so there is nothing to hide. The rust issues have been shown in pics. Overall what we have here is a really great driving solid car that with a little work would be a real show stopper. I personally like the way it looks and wouldn't change it but everybody is different. Good luck bidding thanks!
