1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR V8 Automatic PS PB Tinted Glass 4 Door Very Nice !
Okay vintage Bel Air fans here is a nice restoration project that is worthy of bringing back. You will need to have mechanical skills to repair brake & fuel system. This car is amazingly rust free. However I will address the worst first. The trunk has obviously had leakage and found its way into bottom of the trunk deck lid. There is some damage also in trunk floor. There is no rust issues in valance panel just below the trunk lid.Body mounts, inner / outer rockers, floor pans & braces are 100% RUST FREE.I found a mechanic receipt in car where it was owned by a doctor in Texas as late as 1988. Not sure when the car made its way to Missouri. No one has altered any electrical components or wiring issues. Headlights, tail lights, dash lights, blinkers, brake lights, horn etc all function. This is a numbers matching 283 Power Pac 4-BBL engine. Car came with factory ordered RARE Power Steering & Power Brake combination. All Bel Air chrome is in really nice condition. Stainless is 100% intact, with only minor cosmetic on a piece or two.Car has optional tinted glass all around.Car will start and idle fine on remote gas tank. Factory correct style dual exhaust / tailpipes intact with a set of Smitty style glass pack added by previous owner - ( sounds NICE )I obviously removed seats and carpet to get a look at floor boards. I shampooed the cloth sections of seats, and cleaned vinyl portions. Removed the headliner as it was beyond repair. I have cleaned and polished the dashboard components. The Powerglide transmission will currently not function in Reverse gear.Car has seen one repaint many years ago. Color combination of Adobe Beige / Sierra Gold was one of Chevrolets most attractive offerings.Another possibility would be do mechanical restoration first and simply enjoy the BelAir as it currently looks.Add a set of custom wheels, add on 134 Air Conditioning unit, and take off on Power Tour - think about that possibility !!!Feel free to ask question I will respond appropriately. International bidders welcome. Potential buyers are always welcome to come see car with appointment.I will be on site to monitor loading process if you elect to use transporter service.I am only requiring a $125.00 Pay Pal deposit within 24 hours from winning bidder.Good luck fellow Ebayers..... Thanks - 1965vettes
