1947 Chevrolet Other Business Coupe Additional Info:
This old Coupe has a REALLY COOL History! It was purchased new when the original owner got out of the Army and was used to run Moonshine for 16 years until the original engine blew up trying to out run the local Sheriff in 1963. It was parked in the back yard until about 1980 when a local guy bought it and put it back on the road with a 71 Camaro front end, Chevelle rear-end, sbc v-8 auto trans. That guy lost intrest, pulled and sold the motor & trans and the car sat around a few years until the current owner bought it in 1990 and fixed it up. This car has lived in Bourbon County Kansas it's entire life.
The current owner did most of the work himself over 12 years as time and money allowed. The car has been garaged since completed in 2002 and just driven on occasion in good weather so the paint has held up well.
ENGINE AND DRIVE TRAIN: .040 over 350 SBC with TRW Forged flat-tops, performance Cam, 300hp 350 heads w 2.02 - 1.60 valves & double springs, ported & polished Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock polished aluminum finned valve covers & matching air breather, 600 cfm Holly carb, headers, 2 1/2" exhaust with 3" Chrome Bologna Tips. Turbo 400 trans, Chevelle rear-end converted to leaf springs and gas shocks.
BODY & PAINT: Rear fenders have been smoothed, frenched-in gas cap door, liscense plate & radio antenna, has v-butt windshield, customized front grille and blue-dot lenses in taillights. Centari Basecoat-Clearcoat paint in GM Bahama Blue.
INTERIOR: Custom Interior by "Oz Custom Upholstery" in Columbus, Kansas. Grey Tweed throughout with sculpted door panels, blue "Bowties" on seat backs, door panels and in trunk. Oz also build the back seat and console. Custom fabricated dash panel with 150 mph Z28 spedometer and a Monster Tach where the clock was on the right. Tilt steering colume from a 1980 Pontiac, Pioneer Stereo, Rockford Fosgate Amp, two large Boom-Boxes in trunk and four more speakers inside the car.
This is a good old Hot Rod with an amature restoration that turned out real nice. It's a GREAT car to drive in your local "cruise in's" "car show's" or just cruising around on those cool summer nights! Any questions, you can contact the owner, Rocky Brown, at 620-215-2112 or 620-547- 2482
THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING!
