1990 Chevrolet G20 Van Additional Info:
THERE ARE ABOUT 43 PHOTOS HERE... SOME IN THE THUMBNAILS AND ALSO SOME IN THE BODY OF DESCRIPTION .. LOCATED IN CANASTOTA NEW YORK HOPING SHE FINDS A HOME. I KNOW THAT CONVERSION VANS ARE GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO FIND ESPECIALLY THESE OLDER ONES THAT ARE LARGER IN SIZE AN BETTER BUILT THEN THE ASTRO VANS THAT WERE SO POPULAR A FEW YEARS LATER.. SHE DESERVES A LITTLE TLC AND A NEW LIFE AND FAMILY. I HAVE UNTIL THE LAST WEEK IN OCTOBER TO SELL THIS AS I AM MOVING TO A NEW COUNTY IN NEW YORK STATE IF SHE DOESNT SELL ON EBAY SHE WILL BE AUCTIONED AT A LOCAL AUCTION HOUSE SHE NEEDS TO BE OFF THE PROPERTY BY THE LAST WEEK IN OCTOBER. 1990 Chevrolet Chevy Van G20 Passenger Conversion 5.7 16-Valve V8 GREAT FORWORK TRUCK ( WILL HOLD MULTI FULL SHEETS OF PLYWOOD & DRYWALL APROX 6-8? THEY SLIDE UNDER REAR PASSENGER SEAT... ALSO GREAT IF YOU OWN A DOG OR TWO AS THERE IS A HARD BODY DIVIDER WITH GLASS WINDOW BEHIND REAR SEAT. ALSO WOULD MAKE A NICE VAN FOR CAMPE, HAULING ( DIVIDER KEEPS CARGO SECURE BEHIND SEATS ) AND ALSO HUNTING.. THIS WAS MY AUCTION TRUCK FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS BUT FOUND A TRUCK THAT WAS A LITTLE BIGGER ( CUBE VAN ) I WAS KEEPING THIS AS A 2ND TRUCK BUT AM GETTING READY TO MOVE FROM SYRACUSE AREA TO ROCHESTER AND I HAVE TO GET RID OF A FEW CARS THAT I HAVE STILL KICKING AROUND IN MY LIFE.. SHE DOES NEED A FEW REPAIRS.. BUT I HAVE HAD INSURANCE AND PLATES ON IT FOR 2 YEARS SINCE BUYING THE OTHER TRUCK... I FELT SHE WAS WORTH HOLDING ONTO.. REPAIRS THAT SHE NEEDS.. I PUT A NEW BATTERY IN HER A COUPLE YEARS AGO.. BUT I FOUND OUT RECENTLY THAT IT IS THE STARTER.. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BECAUSE I DID HAVE TO TAP THAT WITH A HAMMER A COUPLE OF TIMES.. SO SHE WILL NEED A STARTER AND A TRICKLE CHARGE ON THE BATTERY.. ALSO THE MUFFLER ANDCATALYTICCONVERTER IS OFF.. BUT THIS IS NOT NEEDED FOR AN INSPECTION BECAUSE OF HER AGE. . BUT IF YOU ARE EARTH FRIENDLY YOU MAY WANT TO GET THIS REPAIRED.. ONE OF THE MOUNT STRAPS CAME OFF OR A BOLT CAME LOOSE AND WE PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT & REMOVED IT. IT SEEMED EASIER AT THE TIME THAN TO TRY TO PUT IT ON WHILE ON THE ROAD AWAY FROM HOME... I BELIEVE THE TIRES ARE STILL DECENT AND SHOULD PASS INSPECTION... I CANT REMEMBER BUT EITHER THE AIR OR HEATER MAY NEED WORK.. I THINK THE HEATER WAS MAKING A NOISE IF I REMEMBER .. DRIVER DOOR WINDOW ( POWER ALSO NEEDS A TWEEK... INTERIOR IS IN PRETTY GOOD CONDITION THERE ARE A FEW BURN HOLES FROM FORMER OWNER.. BACK CARGO AREA HAS A RUBBER FLOORING.. ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO I HAD A NEW SERPINTINE?? BELT PUT ON. IT IS ONE THAT TURNS THE FAN AND AIR I BELIEVE... IM SURE GUYS WILL KNOW BETTER WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT... IM NOT REAL VERSED ON CARS SORRY.. I DO HAVE MY 1963 PLYMOUTH ALSO RUNNING THIS WEEK.. CLEARNING HOUSE... =WINK= LOOKING ONLINE.. I BELIEVE THESE ARE THE SPECS TO THE ENGINE.. AND SHES DEF 8 CYL. LOOKING AT REGISTRATION SO I BELIEVE THESE SPECS ARE CORRECT 5.7 Liter OHV 16-Valve V8 4 Speed Automatic SHE WAS ALWAYS A GOOD HAULER.. NEVER HAD HER LOADED DOWN.. SHE WENT TO ROCHESTER AND BACK TO SYRACUSE WITH EASE.. AND NEVER LEFT ME STRANDED.. CEPT FOR THE TIME DOWN THE ROAD I HAD SOMEONE ASSIST ME TAPPING THE STARTER WITH A HAMMER... WE HAD A WE HAD THAT POLAR VORTEX A COUPLE YEARS AGO WHEN I DROPPED THE NEW BATTERY IN IT AND THAT WAS THE LAST TIME I HAD HER RUNNING. . I HAD HER TOWED LAST WEEK TO MY MECHANICS THINKING SHE JUST NEEDED A CHARGE TO THE BATTERY. AND WHEN HE SAID THAT IT NEEDED A STARTER THAT WAS MORE THAN I WANTED TO DEAL WITH... ( MECHANICS FEES PER HR ).. SO SOMEONE THAT CAN DROP ONE OF THOSE IN THIS AND DO THE SMALL REPAIRS AND A LITTLE LOWER BODY WORK WILL HAVE A NICE WORK TRUCK.. I WENT TO A FEW BOOKS SALES OVER THE LAST 4 YEARS.. I THINK IT WAS 3 TRIPS.. AND SHE HAULED WITH EASE A GOOD 2000 BOOKS I THINK WAS THE HAUL THAT DAY AND MADE THAT HILL IN ITHACA THAT RUNS ALONG THE LAKE.. WITH NO PROBLEM.. AS FAR AS AUCTIONS.. IN A GOOD YEAR.. I WOULD FILL HER UP ABOUT ONCE EVERY OTHER MONTH.. I WORK AT HOME FULL TIME SO SHE DIDNT GET ALOT OF WEAR AND TEAR. .. THE DRAPES ( MOST WILL HOLD IN PLACE I SEE A FEW ARE LOOSE IN THE PHOTOS. MISSED THAT ON THE PHOTO SHOOT . WE WERE TRYING TO GET PHOTOS DONE BEFORE NIGHT TIME HIT.. KAZ ( MY SON SAID HE WAS HAVING TROUBLE GETTING THE BACK DRIVER SIDE CARGO DOOR OPEN ALSO. WOULD LOVE TO KEEP HER BUT MY SON DOESNT HAVE A LISC YET AND DUE TO THE MOVE I HAVE TO GET RID OF A COUPLE CARS... MINE WHITE AND BLUE CAN BE SEEN IN THE BACKGROUND. THAT WILL BE ENOUGH FOR ME TO KEEP UP ON... PLEASE FEEL FREE TO WRITE AND ASK QUESTIONS . SPARKS
