1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Additional Info:
This is my project 1972 Corvette. I built the car to be very original but it's not numbers matching. The engine is a 454 pulled from a 1976 Chevy pickup truck. 270hp. Exhaust manifold and exhaust system built to original.
The engine area is also built to original except for the electric fan. HEI distributor. The Vette does very well in stop and go traffic. The Vette had ac but it has been deleted. The interior vent slides are non functional.
The gear box is a Muncie M 21 with a aftermarket Hurst competition plus shifter. Car shifts very well.
The factory rear spring has been replaced with a VBP spring.
The BF Goodrich tires have plenty of life left. Front are 245 60 15 and the rear are 255 60 15. 15x7 rally wheels front. 15x8 in the rear.
The front clip was replaced at some point in this cars life. Once I started the restoration I notice very slight impact damage front and rear. Again I stress very slight.
Interior is stock. Non tilt steering wheel. But that's one thing I'd like to change. Stock appearance radio with Ipod connection. All gauges and that includes the clock work. Non ac. Needs rear area carpet. The front sections of carpet are new.
My Vette is a great daily driver. Thanks to the electric fan the car has never over heated. It needs an alignment even though it drives great. I'm sure it would be even better with a professional alignment. Also the Vacuum system for the headlights and the wiper door work as they should. The car has a very slight drip after long drives and it's very slight.
Car is painted Satin Grey and all the emblems are less than a year old.
Thanks for checking out the ad and fire away with all questions.

Wanted to add that the Car has a very strong frame. No major rust. No rust holes. The body mounts are all nice and rust free. Even the mounts in front of the rear wheels are in excellent shape.

The car was originally an automatic with a 350. A mechanic owned the 1976 pickup truck that was the home of the 454. It's in very good shape but does use about a quart of oil every 500 miles or so.
