1968 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe * 383 Stroker * 5 Speed NO RESERVE Additional Info:
Hi I'm selling a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe. It features a fully built original numbers matching motor that was bored/stroked out to a 383 c.i. and was mounted to a brand new TKO5 - 5 speed manual transmission that gets about 20 mpg (originally was a M21 4 speed car). Motor and trans have about 1500 miles and the car shows 20,500. At the time of rebuilt Hooker headers with new full chambered dual exhaust was added as well, along with other upgrade such as, new aluminum radiator, KYB gas shocks, new rear and front suspension, adjustable strut rods, front spreader bar, front coils, 1 1/8 front sway bar, Billet aluminum pulleys, converted to 1-wire alternator, and I'm sure other things that I'm forgetting at the moment. The engine is a 10.5:1 compression, with a Comp-Cams hydraulic split duration cam, dual chain, Lunati roller rockers, Edelbrock dual intake, MSD6 box and coil, polished finish 600 CFM carb with electric choke, with all said and done its pushing around 400hp. The transmission is a Keisler Engineering Tremec TKO5 speed with Hurst shifter, designed for 500hp & 500 ft pound engine. Just had its tune up and all fluids change done about 100 miles ago. She is ready to be driven to California today. Thepaint shines very nicely with normal wear but by no means a show or museum quality butisworth showing off at the local car shows and local cruises. The chrome is ingood shapeas well, bumpers, doorhandles, and other trim isvery presentable. The interior is very presentable as well with normal wear without rips, tears, or cuts anywhere, carpet and door panels are also in good shape. All the lights, turn signals and gauges work as they should, the headlights go up and work as well. Underneathis all solid the frame is straight as an arrow and clean with no signs of rot anywhere. The car was always storedin a climate controlledgaraged and adult driven. It was only enjoyed on good summer days and never seen rain or snow. This is a perfect example of a great quality classic chrome bumper Stingray Corvette that is only going up in demand. Ihaven'thad the time to enjoy the car as much as I would, so time has come to part with this iconic and popular desirable muscle car.
This classic Stingray Corvette is a perfect reminder of what a true muscle car should be. You want a great corvette with a healthy new motor and a very desirable 5 speed, this is it. Take it to cruise nights or drive it cross country, this is one Vette that is truly turn key and ready to hit the road today. It will always put a smile on your face and gets thumbs up from everyone every time.
This is a NO RESERVE auction, the car will be sold to the highest bidder. It is sold as-is. Feel free to message me with offers, questions or to see the car in person before bidding. The car is also selling locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
