Factory fuel injection for your hotrod from GM Performance. These Ram Jet 350 c.i.d. cast iron 2-bolt main, 1-piece main seal engines have approximately 9.4:1 compression with 351 hp at 5,000 rpm, and 403 ft.-lbs. of torque at 3,600 rpm. These all-new Ram Jet 350s from Chevrolet Performance make it easy to have electronic fuel injection on any 1979 or older vehicle originally equipped with a carburetor. The secret is the industry leading MEFI 4 controller. This new controller fits in the palm of your hand and was originally developed for marine applications. MEFI 4 is ideally suited for use in street rods, street machines and sportsman racers. Installation is simple; the Ram Jet 350 is an assembled 350-crate engine with Vortec cylinder heads, Ram Jet induction system, wiring harness, new MEFI 4 controller, and detailed instructions. Once installed in the vehicle, a user needs only to supply 12V power and fuel. Please note the fuel pump recommendations in the Ram Jet instruction manual. This revised MEFI4 controller has improved electronics and a closed loop capability to give a smooth idle and better performance. These crate engines are assembled with nodular iron crankshafts, powdered metal connecting rods, hypereutectic flat top pistons, hydraulic roller camshafts set to .460 in. intake lift, .481 in. exhaust lift, Degrees of duration at .050 in. for intake is 196 and 206 for exhaust, with a lobe centerline of 109. Hydraulic roller lifters, Full roller rocker arms with 1.6 ratios, Cast iron Vortec cylinder heads with 64cc combustion chambers, 170cc intake runner volume, 1.94 in. intake valves, and 1.50 in. exhaust valves. Ramjet multi-port aluminum intake manifold, standard LT1 injectors rated for 22 lbs./hr. Distributor is HEI style small cap design with external coil. AC Delco spark plugs and wires, 8 in. harmonic balancer, 14 in. manual transmission flywheel, 6 quart truck style oil pan, timing cover, chrome valve covers, high-floe air filter element, and 180 degree thermostat with chrome housing. Cast iron long style water pump with "V" belt rotation with 1979-86 power steering pump boss are used. The MEFI 4 controller is self-contained with MEFI 4 closed loop speed density controls. ECU inputs consist of O2 sensor, coolant temperature, throttle position, manifold absolute pressure, and intake manifold temperature, knock sensor. The signal ECU outputs consist of injector control, complete spark, timing control, IAC and fuel pump control. The computer has a "green mode" that controls the rpms for the break in period. From start up to the end of first hour is 4,000 rpm, second hour is 4500 rpm and the third hour is 5,500 rpm
