1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Additional Info:
1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne k10 original owner truck until September 2015 purchased new a Guaranty Chevrolet in Junction City OR, Oct 11 1971, have original new vehicle inspection sheet, build sheet and warranty agreement, making me the second registered owner. original 350 engine that was rebuilt in 1987 at 122,290 not many miles since then 166,609, I did have the original quadrajet rebuilt. it has the turbo 350 transmission and 3:07 gears front and rear. The truck is original dark olive and white with parchment interior, majority of the dark olive appears to be original as it is getting thin, I believe the white has been repainted at some point. I redid some of the interior including new parchment seat cover which matched the original exactly, new carpet, dash pad and dash bezel, gauges are the original ones. Repainted the top of the dash and the steering column and put on a 68 Camaro 3 spoke walnut reproduction wood wheel. The door panels are original as is the headliner, sun visors and all green dash paint. The am radio works great I installed a new antenna, the truck had the chrome glove box door, ashtray and transfer case lever when I got it. The body of the truck is real straight for being as old is it is, the bed is in great shape and is not all beat up, the rocker panels do have the usual rust as well as part of the floor near the rockers, also a little rust near the body braces at the rockers. Some rust at top of fenders near the front under the hood where they meet the core support, the underside of the truck has surface rust on the frame, the truck is original underneath and has not been spray canned with a crap load of black paint to make it look good for a week. I did take the front and rear differential covers off drained and refiled both, cleaned degreased and painted covers. There has been no half assed cutting or welding done to these spots and are as original unmolested. I was going to just use the truck as is without repairing these spots leaving the truck with some character of it past. Small area at back of drivers rear wheel well looks like it has had a little work done back in the day. The tires on the truck look like new, but have been on the truck for a long time and have some cracking. wheels appear original and have several coats of white paint them. The truck is very much an original rig it could probably use some new parts on the suspension, I replaced the side marker lights with new ones and original style led tail lights, I have new window felts and sill plates, it does go down the road good and is like a step back in time driving an old truck, runs and drives fine, I wouldn't recommend buying it and driving it 1000 miles home though. I purchased the truck about a year ago to replace one I had many years ago, I am selling this due to purchasing a new house and as they say you cant keep everything. The truck will be available to be seen in person anytime, I encourage this, send a friend or an appraiser.
