1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Additional Info:
Up for bids is my 66 Corvair Monza 2dr coupe. Spent it's life in Dallas TX. Before coming to NY in 98. Since then it's never seen winter weather. The body is rust free except for a small bubble in the lead solder joint on the lower windshield panel. It has not grown at all in the 7 years I've owned the car. The interior was redone at the time of restoration in the late 90s. It will need front carpets as they are missing. It is an excellent driving car with a strong 110 engine. I would trust this car to drive anywhere. It has been my summertime daily driver since 2010. It's about as rust free as you will find. Not everything is stock on this car. All rubber weatherstrips and door seals are in good shape.Features:110 hp flat six engine with 4 speed Saginaw transForged PistonsMild camElectric in tank fuel pumpPertronix ignitionWelded dual exhaustQuick steering arms15X7 Cragar SS mags with BFG TAsSimulated wood steering wheelAftermarket am fm cassetteFactory AC with front mounted condenser. Work done since I've owned it:New clutch assemblyNew steering boxNew blower bearingNew rear main sealNew wheels and tiresNew exhaustNew clutch cableNew brakesNew rear springsNew ignition parts
Minor things needed:Adjust clutchAdjust shift linkageFront carpetMinor rattlesNeeds radio antenna.
All in all this is a nice, quality driver quality car which needs nothing to continue as a daily driver.Fly in drive home!
