1957 Cadillac Eldorado Seville series 62, it is 1 of 2,100 made. We purchased the car two years ago from a collector in Nevada, who purchased it from California. It is a running and driving example that is extremely original, complete, and unmolested. Believed to be correct low mileage of just over 46K miles. We have only driven the car a few miles at a time and it does everything it is supposed to. Shifts, brakes, and runs without any overheating. It does have a minor stumble when revving it up. (disclaimer)-I feel it will need a complete check over before being road worthy as it has not been regularly driven on the road in many years. The car is extremely solid with no rust, holes, or rot anywhere. It has a very old repaint that would require it to be repainted, there is a lot of paint checking throughout(see pics). Most of the chrome and stainless is in good original condition. The front lower driver side bumper has a scrape and the rear bumper corners will need to be re-chromed if looking to restore to concourse condition. The roof has been painted satin black to seal it. Seville’s came with a patterned vicodec roof but this one was removed prior to our ownership. We do have the stainless trim pieces that separate the roof from the body at the bottom of the C-pillar(recently purchased). The interior is all original except for the carpet. The seat leather is quite dry and has many areas that are cracking open but it is all there and it is the original pattern so no guessing will be necessary if a redo is your plan. The headliner is in real good shape except for a 6 inch spot where the thread has let go. The dash material has deformed from the years of heat on it but the door panels and kick panels are in great shape for originals. The brass float for the gas sending unit has a pin hole so it reads incorrect, but the gas tank is has been cleaned out and is in excellent shape. It has had recent tune-up parts. The exhaust does not sound like it has any leaks but the main mufflers are very old and have some deterioration. Exhaust manifolds are in great shape. Very rare gold option package with gold grill and 5 gold Kelsey Hayes Sabre wheels with 4 brand new Coker wide white tires. The rear electric trunk latch pull down will need some attention but the release solenoid works correctly from the button in the glove compartment. Various spare parts have been collected and are in the trunk to go with the car. This car was ordered with a single four barrel carburetor instead of the dual quad set up. I do have a dual quad manifold and carb setup available for additional purchase but I do not have the batwing air cleaner. This is a very rare and unique Cadillac that is in amazing near original condition but does require some attention. We are selling a few of our cars due to overcrowding and my fathers shoulder replacement not going well. Please check my other auctions for other vehicles. We adhere to all EBAY rules and regulations, the winning bidder is the new owner. It is an auction not an opportunity to browse. I highly recommend making arrangements to see the car in person before bidding. It is located in Orange, CT. Thanks for viewing.
