The Cadillac Sixty Special name has been used by Cadillac to denote a special model since the 1938. In overall terms 1963 Cadillac was essentially the same as last year. Exterior changes imparted a bolder and longer look. Hoods and deck lids were redesigned. The front fenders projected further forward than in 1962 while the tailfins were trimmed down somewhat to provide a lower profile. Body side sculpturing was entirely eliminated. The slightly V-shaped radiator grille was taller and now incorporated outer extensions that swept below the flush-fender dual headlamps Smaller circular front parking lamps were mounted in those extensions. Standard equipment again essentially remained unchanged. Trimmings included a full-length lower beltline molding of a simple yet elegant design. The engine was entirely changed for 1963, hough the displacement and output remained the same.
The Bahama Sand metallic paint job shows well with a few imperfections visible upon inspection most notable on the drivers side roof. The body trim is present and has a brilliant finish. Both front and rear bumpers fit well and finish compliments the exterior paint. The weather stripping is still soft with no signs of drying out. Paint and body are displayed well with minimal light paint spot issues.
Inside, he factory original Tan leather/ cloth seats all look great with no major signs of wear visible and appear to be original. The power locks and front window vents are inoperable. All gauges are original and functioning as designed. The door panels are finished to match the seats and dashboard are matched to mirror the exterior of the car and all look fantastic.
