For your consideration is an iconic and rare 1962 62 Series 2 door Coupe equipped just how you want it with the correct 390 V8 Engine, Controlled Coupling 4-Speed Hydramatic Transmission (very reliable and way ahead of it's time), Power Steering and Power Brakes. The Cadillac has had one repaint in 1981 and still looks new! In person, it looks great and is consistent with a very clean, respectable driver quality classic automobile. Not perfect, but a clean turn-key driver and as good as it gets for an original survivor. A thin layer of undercoat is present which is consistent with a factory application, and it has preserved the car as it was designed to do. No rot or patch panels. The bumpers, as well asall other chrome and stainlessstill show very well. Floors and trunk pan are solid and original. The Cadillac was obviously garage kept and well maintained since new. It rides, drives and handles like a dream! Extremely tight and a pleasure to drive, it is surprisingly maneuverable with power brakes and power steering. I would not hesitate to get behind the wheel of this car and drive it anywhere! The Caddy has a great fit and finish with everything lining up in factory specs including doors, windows, trunk, hood, etc. The doors have that effortless, distinct soundas you close them. You car guys know what I'm talking about. The lights, turn signals, brake lights, gauges windows are functioning properly. The speedometerhasvery recently become erratic however the odometer still keeps track consistently. Engine fires right up with no smoke, does not use oil excessively and sounds great withdual exhaust. The interior is original andin very good condition. The carpet is original and has what appears to be ableaching type stain on the transmissionhump butdoes not detract from the overall appearance of the interior. All window roll up and down effortlessly like a new car! This model did not have the power windows or seat so it's less maintenance which is ideal for a classic car like this.
Overall, this Cadillac is a great opportunity to get behind the wheel of a turnkey investment grade classic auto that can be driven and enjoyed. The car is located midway between Knoxville and Bristol, Tennessee. Fly in andcruise through the Great Smoky Mountains on your way home!
Good luck bidding!
