1949 Cadillac Other Additional Info:
A stunning frame up restoration was recently completed on this most desirable Cadillac. This car started out as a rust free low mileage California example. And, I mean rust free. The rockers, doors, floor pans and truck floors were all original and damage free. During the respray of the car, I was able to savage the original yellow "62X" factory stamping on the firewall. It's here that you can see how closely the new paint matches the original color.Ever mechanical system has been restored to original specifications, including engine, transmission, rear end, cooling system, brake system, fuel system and suspension. A new engine wiring harness has been installed as well. The engine is matching number to the chassis. For reliability, a Pertronix ignition replaced the points in the original distributor and an Optima 6V battery starts the car easily. The car came originally equipped with power windows and seat. This hydro-electrical system has also been rebuilt and operates properly. Do you know how rare power windows and seats were in 1949?The interior was completed in wool broad cloth and wool carpet in its original two-tone scheme. The steering wheel was recast in its beautiful ivory color. The dash is refinished in faux wood-grain as done by the factory. The only two items that need finishing which are the radio and clock. Both are cosmetically restored but not currently working.Painted in its original color of Triumph Blue, this Sedanette has been restored to the highest standard and is ready to be driven to its next Concours event. It has only been entered in one car show with 500 cars attending and took Best of Show in the "Stock" class. You would be hard pressed to first locate a car with such good bones and then restore it to this standard for the asking price. So if your ready to acquire this Museum quality car please contact me thru email and I'll give you my phone number. Inspections are encouraged.
