1969 Cadillac Eldorado “38,000 ORIGINAL MILES! CALIFORNIA CAR! TIME CAPSULE!”
VIN H9190532
The Classic Car Gallery is proud to present this beautiful 1969 Cadillac Eldorado coupe. Finished in Gold Fire Mist over Gold vinyl this beautifully coupe is a California Black Plate car with only 38000 original miles. The car is a time capsule, and accurately preserves the style class and originality that Cadillac works so hard to achieve; these cars are only original once. All body panels are straight and believed to be original. The correct Gold Fire Mist paint is clearly a respray, and is excellent with good shine and deep luster. The underside is excellent with original floors and no hints of corrosion or any issues. All stainless brightwork is in excellent condition, the front and rear chrome on the bumpers have some minor pitting but otherwise shows very well. The black vinyl top is likewise in wonderful condition with good color and no fading. The factory wheels and hubcaps are in good condition, and the tires have plenty of tread remaining. The glass is original as well, with no pitting or cracking. All window switches and window mechanisms work as designed, and all rubber trim around the car is moist and fresh. All mechanical and electrical systems work as they should; all gauges work as designed. The original 472 cubic inch motor runs strong and produces great power and torque. Cadillac claimed 375hp from the factory, and the power is obvious when the car is driven. The Eldorado cruises effortlessly in modern traffic with plenty of power in reserve. Recent work includes, but is not limited to, a major service, a valve job, all belts, hoses, plugs and carburetor rebuild. In addition, this Front Wheel Drive Caddy was just the recipient of a full transmission rebuild at a cost of almost $4000! The transmission shifts as it should. The interior of this special Eldorado is absolutely impeccable! $11,000 was just spent at a Cadillac marque specialist bringing it back to its former glory. The seats interior were removed and reupholstered in leather. New cloth, vinyl, foam, headliner and carpet was installed throughout. Even all painted components throughout the interior were removed and resprayed to ensure the highest level of finish. The trunk still retains its original spare, jack and wheel chock. The car runs as well as she looks, and we wouldn't hesitate to take this caddy to any show or on a long road trip across the country!
