Aug 2nd PHOTOS OF CHASIS ETC. ADDED1949 Cadillac, purchased over 15 years ago out of Nevada. I was told car was done over by the Chief Financial Officer of a Gambling company. Car runs great and can be driven anywhere. I drove it into Manhattan to work for 8 months after after my wifes daily driver got totaled and she started driving my car.
I had the engine professionally rebuilt about 8,000 miles ago. Drive is cruising compliant and comfortable. Quiet exhaust.
Paint is what it is with scratches etc. Little body rust here and there, primarily some hard to see finger tip size bubbles on bottom of the doors. See pics. Includes upper interior door panels which I was going to strip and repaint. Radio/Cassete and power antenna not working. Passenger outside door handle and odometer have not worked since I purchased the car. I keep the hood chained down as the latch does not work well. Interior floor carpet is faded. Has a current New York inspection. True mileage unknown
No car I have ever owned has gotten this much attention, not my 60's Camaro's and Mustangs, Cuda, W30 most of which were convertibles. Kids love it, young men and women want to have long conversations about this car. Have you ever had a kiss blown at you (or the car) by an elegant women crossing the street? Then there was Wall Street guy considering selling his driver Bentley coupe to buy this Cadillac.
I used to stuff all my kids in it and have a blast driving around. My kids are in college all over the place now, thinking of down sizing so time to pass this light rod to someone else to enjoy.
