Beginning in 1979, the Eighth Generation of Cadillac Eldorado was introduced and carried through the 1985 model year. It was a smaller, slimmer vehicle with several drivetrain variants used along the way in an effort to meet stricter Federal emission and fuel economy requirements from year to year. To help maintain interior and trunk space, Cadillac also introduced an independent rear suspension system. They shared the same E-body chassis platform as the Buick Riviera and Oldsmobile Toronado with front-wheel-drive. Bearing the name Biarritz meant a Cadillac was equipped with the top tier package that included a brushed stainless-steel roof that covered the front passenger compartment with the rear half being covered with a padded landau vinyl top. The interior showcases “pillowed” style velour or leather seating with contrasting piping, along with many other options.

We are very pleased to offer this 1983 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe Biarritz finished in Cadillac Light Briar Brown metallic paint with a very comfortable Dark Brown leather interior. Under the hood is a 4.1 Liter V8 digital fuel injected engine that produces 135 horsepower and 200 lbs.-ft of torque and is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission with electric overdrive. This Eldorado Biarritz features the special stainless-steel and padded landau top, pinstripe, Cadillac embroidered leather interior, self-leveling air suspension, electronic climate control air conditioning system, power windows & door locks, cruise control, AM/FM aftermarket Panasonic CD player with upgraded harness and powerful rear speakers, power antenna, power trunk release with power pull down, tilt/ telescopic steering wheel, digital dash information centers, digital fuel economy read out, power adjustable front seating, remote adjustable driver & passenger side mirrors, and wheels wrapped in brand new tires measuring 205/75R15 just installed in 2024.

Having sold new to its first owner in1983, this car was traded as a demonstrator model in Neosho, Missouri, it would trade hands via Hart Motor Company in Rogers, Arkansas to 3 generations of one family, only one time in 1983 with approximately 10,000 miles on the odometer to a residence of Prairie Creek, Arkansas. The second generation owner operated the vehicle for 2 years from 1992-1994, upon which it was transferred to the third generation owner, who kept the vehicle in California and Iowa. During that era, she did have her full electrical harness replaced, and received a new coil, and windshield wipers have received a new module.

Today, it shows only 92,591 original miles. Vehicle was used very little over the last 25 years, and was last serviced in 2024. Prior major service in 2014. Car barely driven during intervening years. The Iowa DOT system pre-assigns an average mileage for vehicles, and this state-generated figure would far exceed the actual usage, in this case. They don't take into account periods of vehicle storage, unless they get paid a large fee for special storage plates. No odometer tampering.

Accident free. Car has never been involved in a road accident. She did get a ding in a parking lot from a white RV backing in on her passenger front quarter panel - see photo.

It has remained garage-kept for most of its life and well cared for by this former owner/collector for the past 31 years. It was moved from California to Iowa via trailer, where it is registered currently, and brought to Missouri, in 2025. The car only went out adding miles to the odometer on the fairest weather days. Since its arrival in Missouri, we have continued to care for this beautiful Eldorado in preparation for sale with new tires, new fuel lines in the gas tank, fuel filter, drive belts, engine oil change with filter.
