Here is a gorgeous 1947 Cadillac Series 62 Club Coupe Fastback that is stunning inside and out. This rare Cadillac has been beautifully restored and is in excellent overall condition. Its sleek, fastback design finished in ebony black makes it one of the most iconic luxury cars of its era. But the true uniqueness of this car lies in its combination of classic looks and custom upgrades, making it not just a collector's dream, but also an incredible car to drive.
The car retains its original 346 cubic inch Flathead V8 engine, producing 150 horsepower, paired with the famed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The smooth, reliable transmission was well-proven during WWII in Cadillac-built tanks, and it performs flawlessly in this beautiful Sedanette. The real game-changer is the fully computerized air-ride suspension, which lets you lower the car for a show-stopping stance or raise it to stock height for comfortable cruising. All professionally installed by Grunion Fabrication here in Phoenix, AZ. This one-of-a-kind Cadillac is being sold on consignment for a local gentleman who has cherished this car for the past several years, only selling it now to fund a real estate investment.

Current Condition: This Cadillac was restored approximately 10-15 years ago and still looks amazing. You can tell it's always been a very nice car its entire life. The ebony black paint shines beautifully. The body is laser-straight, with just a few minor spots of paint crazing (on the hood, near the rear glass, and on the trunk) that are barely noticeable. This would be an easy fix if you desire, or you could leave it alone as it has just the right amount of patina for a stunning, original look. The fit and finish on the car are spectacular.
The glass and trim are all in wonderful condition, and new rubber seals have been installed to keep the car weather-tight. All the chrome was redone and shines like a diamond. The interior has been completely restored, featuring the correct tan wool broadcloth upholstery. There is one small wear spot on the back of the front seat the size of a quarter. You could repair it with a new piece of material from SMS or leave it as part of the patina. The dash and gauge cluster look like jewelry, with all lights and gauges working as they should. All the painted woodgrain was restored and looks amazing. A hidden AM/FM Bluetooth stereo system provides modern convenience without sacrificing the vintage look.
Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition, with the 346 cubic inch Flathead V8 running smoothly and the Hydra-Matic transmission shifting effortlessly. The fully computerized air-ride suspension lets you set the car's stance to your liking, either for show or comfortable cruising. The chrome Sabre wheels with white-wall radial tires complete the car's stunning look, and it rides beautifully on the open road. Even though the car looks amazing, it was not fully detailed for the photo shoot. A complete detail would take this car over the top, making it gleam like new.
The Story Behind the Sale: This Cadillac has been the pride and joy of its current owner, a local gentleman who is reluctantly selling it to fund a real estate investment. It has always been lovingly cared for, and now it's ready for a new owner who will appreciate its timeless elegance and one-of-a-kind features.
