Offered for sale is a 1972 Cadillac Eldorado. The car is completely original and in above-average condition. It is mechanically sound and ready for a new owner. The speedometer shows a mileage of 40,700 miles. Based on the general overall condition, the mileage is therefore credible. Be that as it may, the car has no documented history. The car shows the usual signs of wear for a vehicle that is over 50 years old. The overall condition of the vehicle is very good for its age. The vehicle was delivered in California and was driven there most of the time before it came to Florida. Therefore it was never driven in winter, in snow and ice or on salty roads. The generally good condition and the low mileage reflect this. The vehicle is mechanically in order and ready to drive. Body / PaintThe entire body and underbody are solid. No bodywork, welding or other restoration work has been carried out to date. The vehicle is rust-free except for two small spots on the lower corner of the vinyl roof. Fenders, doors, side panels, hood and trunk lid are in perfect condition. The car is partially repainted. There is no visible error in the color. The paintwork on the front hood, roof and trunk lid is damaged by the sun and has a semi-glossy appearance. In addition, the paint appears to have an unclean appearance in places and sometimes over the entire area. There is a spot on the rear of the trunk lid as well as on the left front fender where fluid has damaged the defect. The general external paint condition can therefore only be classified as fair and also because of its age. All chrome, stainless steel and trim parts are in excellent condition, with no damage or scratches and absolutely rust-free. The front and the pane of the rest of the glass are completely free of damage or scratches. The partial vinyl roof has no damage or cracks and is in good condition. Interior

The entire interior is in excellent condition. The interior is extremely clean and has always been well looked after. The original carpet isclean and completely undamaged - the vehicle was always driven withfloor mats. The dashboard is in pristine condition with no cracks, warping, fading or other damage. The original, extremely comfortable real leather seats are in good condition, with no tears or damage. The electric adjustment of the seats works perfectly. All dashboard displays work. All controls work flawlessly. The door panels are immaculate and in perfect condition with no damage or fading. All chrome and trim are flawless. The electric windows run perfectly. The air conditioning as well as the controls for the fan and heating work perfectly at all levels. The headliner is damaged along two seams along its length and has been glued together there. The electric clock doesn't work. The radio and the four speakers work well. The entire interior is in an above-average condition and extremely well maintainedand is in almost new condition - even after over 50 years !!!

Engine / Transmission

The car has the original 8.2 liter engine and the original transaxle automatic transmission. The engine has just been completely serviced. Oil and oil filter, air filter and spark plugs, as well as a new ignition cap and distributor fingers and ignition cables were installed. The automatic transmission has also just been serviced. A new filter was installed and the transmission was filled with fresh automatic fluid. The engine and transmission are dry without any leaks. The engine runs well, starts cold and warm and has no problems at all. The gearbox is perfect. The transmission's shift points are precise - there is no slipping or hard shifting to be noticed. The power steering works perfectly. The cooling system was flushed and refilled with fresh engine coolant. The air conditioning works perfectly - it has just been serviced. The chassis works perfectly. There are no noises that could indicate worn out chassis parts. The outer joint boots have been replaced and fresh grease has been filled. The shock absorbers are tight and flawless.

Brakes

A brake service has just been carried out. The front brake rotors including brake pads, front brake hoses as well as the rear wheel brake cylinders were replaced. The master brake cylinder was replaced. The brake system was then flushed, bled and filled with new brake fluid. The rear brakes were adjusted. The brakes work perfectly - the brake pedal has a firm pressure point.

Wheels / Tires

The car has original wheels with hubcaps in good condition. New whitewall tires were installed and balanced. Tire brand and size is: “Travelstar UN 106, P235/75R15” The original spare wheel has never been used.

Underbody

The underbody is original, solid and shows no damage. The floor pan, wheel arches and sills are solid and in good condition. The trunk floor is free of rust. The axle mounts and frame are solid.
