This project started with a 1959

Oldsmobile Fiesta four door station wagon and a dream. J&S Metal Fabrication of Lubbock made this dream come true. They cut the front frame off at the firewall and welded the Cadillac frame onto the existing Oldsmobile frame so they could accommodate the longer Cadillac front end. The outer body skins of a 59

Cadillac Sedan Deville were sectioned and welded onto the remainder of the car. The tailgate and rear metal work was the hardest part of it all. The rear gate originally folded down on the Oldsmobile, however to retain the rear body style of the 59 Cadillac, the rear gate had to swing open. J&S redesigned the rear gate and fabricated hinges and a latch. GM only built station wagons for Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac. This 1959 Cadillac Station Wagon is truly one of a kind.
