Are you a Cadillac collector or do you simply need a classic cruiser for your extended family or your entourage? MotoeXotica Classic Cars has the answer in this 1966 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 Limousine. This is one of 1,037 Fleetwood Series 75 Limousines made in 1966. This rarely seen limo is a nice driver as is or restore to your liking.Nineteen sixty-six marked the first year since 1961 that Cadillac revamped its long sedans. This example, made in GM’s Detroit, Michigan factory, during the second week of December 1965, is finished in a burgundy. The paint and trim are in overall good, original order but there are various blemishes around the body and the rear driver’s corner of the hood bows up. Even though it was shorn of its tailfins two years earlier, the rear end still has vestiges of the earlier styling craze. The bodywork is straight, the doors are cut into the roof to aid ingress and egress, the engine bay is very original and tidy while the chrome bumpers are in satisfactory order and fit tightly to the body. This limousine rolls on Nexen Nfera RU5 radials, size 235/55R18 in front and 255/55R18 in rear. Each radial is mounted to a vented alloy Halinrand style American Legend wheel. The wheels are in excellent condition while the tires are in very good shape with plenty of tread. The original Cadillac rims and wheels are included and in the trunk.Under the hood is a 429 CID V-8 engine with a 10.5:1 compression ratio and a Carter AFB four-barrel carburetor. It also included its first emission control system device; a positive crankcase ventilation unit was installed beginning in the 1964 model year. Backing this motor is a Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission. Right side of engine has an exhaust leak and the oil dipstick is missing. Driver convenience features include air-conditioning which is inoperable, power steering, power brakes, power windows (rear and divider windows are inoperable), power antenna and a powered separation and privacy glass between chauffeur and rear passengers.Inside, the chauffeur’s area is upholstered in black vinyl while the rear passenger cell is done in Medium Gray Decardo Cloth (code 719). There are a pair of foldable jump seats immediately behind the divider for extra seating. A factory, three-spoke steering wheel is in good, original shape, as are the inner door panels and instrument panel. A factory AM radio completes the interior. As usual Fleetwood exterior trim and interior appointments enriched the Series 75 in 1966. The first major redesign since 1961 featured a full perimeter frame. The new look brought the appearance of the big sedan and limousine up-to-date so that it matched the visual impression of other Cadillac lines. A big jump in sales for both regular production models, but not the commercial chassis, was the result.Documentation includes various insurance and license information.Competition to this Cadillac in 1966 includes Chrysler’s Town Sedan and Lincoln’s Executive Limousine. These long, big Cadillacs from the mid-1960s have come into their own, with crisp styling, the classic stacked headlamps popular at the time and the brand’s signature vertical taillamps. If you are seeking a unique conveyance with room for a lot of people, this Caddy limo is sure to fill the bill. VIN: S6160681This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri.
