From time to time, someone successfully completes a restoration that is undeniably cool in every aspect of the word. Well, this is one of those cars. From the custom three stage paint to the opulent leather interior, this convertible is a must have for any Cadillac enthusiast. Considering the fact that it underwent a full nut and bolt restoration that includes the highly popular LS engine swap, 4L60-E transmission, Heidt's Air Ride suspension,4 wheel disc brakes,full leather upholstery, center console, custom dash, digital instrument gauges, custom sound system and much more, you'd be challenged to build this car for any where close to the asking price.
If you are wondering about reliability and ride handling, well this Caddy is every bit road worthy as a 2019 Cadillac but far more stylish. It tracks straight going down the road and stops precisely as it should. The motor runs strong with plenty of power and starts immediately. The exhaust sound is mellow and not obnoxious like some. The air ride is fully adjustable and has a self leveling feature to keep things in-check. With only 5,500 miles, it's been extremely reliable and ready for the next owner. We're all aware of those classic cars that seem to magically reveal problems once the car changes hands. Well, not this classic, it's been driven over the last 5 years and never disappointed. It recently went through a pre purchase inspection and it received a new electric switch for the convertible top as a result.
As anyone knows, these early 60's Caddy's are nearly 19 feet long. With body panels that large, body prep and paint is a challenge. Well, those challenges were met as this Coupe DeVille is laser straight and has a deep, lustrous shine. The overall fit and finish is first-class and the custom blue paint receives compliments every time it ventures out.
The interior is rich and inviting with leather throughout every square inch. The dash board alone has numerous man hours of custom touches from the updated digital gauges to the color matched components and leather wrapped dash pad. No shortcuts were taken and it's evident. The competition sound system was discretely concealed and the hand fabricated center console adds a luxurious touch as well. The late model bucket seats also helps maintain comfort for those longer road trips. Speaking of road trips, this DeVille is equipped with the added bonus of ice cold a/c and heat when the weather is uncooperative. So whether the top is up or down, rest assure, you'll be riding in style.
Comparable convertible Cadillac's with equivalent accessories, man hours and receipts are advertised and selling in the mid $40k range.
