1985 Eldorado Biarritz1985 Eldorado Biarritz. Factory real wire wheel option (rarest option on these cars ever), Bose, Touring Suspension, Power Recliner. Auto Dim/Twilight Sentinel, Power mirrors and much more. Ok... this IS NOT ONE OF MY NICE MUSEUM CARS. Its rough, its used, its weathered, it HAS ISSUES, it has 103K miles. But coming from me.... this is a way above average survivor of the best color last year real Biarritz This car's story is that of so many "lack of respected" inherited cars. The car was one owner prior to me... Dad's pride and joy, garaged car from the best climate in the world. Oregon. Never left. Sadly dad passed and Junior got the car and house. Junior moved from his urbanite loft to claim dads house until he could sell it as fast as possible and get back to the stack n pack with some money in his pocket. Prius driving Junior decided Dad's pride and joy was less significant that his personal junk.... of which may have brought 200 bucks at a garage sale..... So Junior kicked this once mint Eldorado out of the garage and littered this cars home with his garbage. A kayak and other junk. "Well meaning I'm sure...." he let weeks turn into over a year+.... This poor car went from mint to partially weathered pretty fast. He then wanted to sell it for 15K bucks representing it as a 3000 mile original car.... again, "well meaning I am sure". Well I'll be darned if some aspects look that good, but it is really a meticulously well kept 103K mile car that JR reduced to a somewhat mediocre in record time. The car came to me from another collector who went to look at it as a represented 3K mile car... but knew what it was.... He agreed with me.... The car needs to be saved, its too nice to put in the wrong hands, but is too rough to represent as one of the better cars to survive like new. I got it and thought about fixing it up but with its miles, its never going to be a "Gm-Classics" candidate... but it certainly has its place in a nice secondary collector realm. What this car needs is someone who does not want to spend the potential 15K++ this car may be worth if really perfect, but wants a nice classic to make better.
This is a running, driving, Cold AC and heat fully functional light cosmetic project. I also has all 4 properly working rare Bose speakers and fully functional stereo... Sounds great for this era. It has the super rare wire alloy wheels that have sold for over 2000 bucks when they show. Possibly 500 cars got these, they are that rare. All power accessories work other than power antenna. Has power mirror option, they work, trunk release and pull down work, all 6 ways both sides and power recliner work, of course power windows, suspension pump and everything else works too! I would suspect this car may make it coast to coast right now.... But I cant predict anything on a car this old, even a museum one. The strong points are the interior is excellent. No cracks, rips, tears... Prius driving Junior would not be seen in it, so that saved it. It looks as good as a very well kept 20K mile car in every aspect. The body is EXCELLENT... no dents, creases or anything that distracts. BUT its weak point is the sun damage that got on hood/trunk and vinyl top. The Stainless top saved a ton as its indestructible really. Of course the fillers are dead and gone as any of this age would be. Not a hard fix, 350 bucks as you all know, but there is a right and wrong way to do those too... wrong way is easy and looks ok, right way is highly labor intensive. I personally can make this car look a lot better easy and cheap, but I don't do anything partially. Its all or nothing with me, perfect or I don't do it. With that said, I can also restore this car to a level that would win national shows.... But I would spend a good year of my life and prob 50K doing it. Its not a car I want to make that level, and it does not need that at all.... So I chose to represent the car as it is without any "fix up", giving someone a really solid car that they can make better without having to deal with some used up rust bucket rag or start over from the ground up with a parts level car. This is as honest of old car as you will find. Its not a car that has been subjected to any body shop, some jake leg mechanic shop, some can of krylon quick detail shop or, some doctoring dealer... Its honest as the day is long. Its a clean slate, mold it to your desires.
Here is a walk around full description video of this car done by me;

I will also sell this car to international buyers who will set up their own shipping. Its not a car I am going to make money on.... That I can promise, so don't expect me to jump through hoops to basically give this car away... I am trying to match this car with the right person who will put the properly directed love into it... It is well deserving. I have had many kids that want to buy it local, but they don't have the grasp for how to make it right even though they have plenty of money. It needs the right home. And with that said. This is a 1.00 no reserve auction.... whatever someone pays at the end is the price. I need it out of my warehouse to make space for the cars that are museum level. I wont let this one sit outside and I know its future owner wont either.... Please watch the video.... much more can be determined.
