BACKGROUND: The 1970 Cadillac DeVille Convertible is an iconic American car. It was the last year that a DeVille convertible was factory built. (Note: the largest of the later Eldorado convertibles was a bit shorter). This car has been in one family for decades and was often featured in parades (note the white parade horn in the engine compartment).Though it was recently a good running car, it had significant rust (please see all 80+ images) so it was decided to use it as a “donor car” for a Concours quality restoration of another 1970 model DeVille convertible. LOTS OF IMAGES…We strive to aim the camera everywhere that an interested buyer would look. Please be sure to examine all 80+ images. As you will see, there are many parts separate from the car that are neatly displayed – and of course - all are included. INVESTMENT POTENTIAL…it is highly unlikely that Cadillac will ever build another convertible car on the grand classic scale of this final DeVille convertible. As this car is better appreciated though time, values may rise significantly. It is up to the buyer to determine whether this car is better suited as a parts car or whether it should be a restoration project.
