1949 CADILLAC SEDANETTEaka “CADDY FASTBACK”
This is not your standard basic 1949Cadillac. It is a fully customeye-catching rolling piece of art. This1949 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe is freshly restored. Some of the notable updatesinclude Vintage Air A/C, a custom dash, a GM 383 stroked V8, an upgradedchassis and Wilwood Brakes.
The first impression is a lasting one. This Caddy is such a head turner and is alwaysthe only one at the car cruises and shows. It rides and handles very well. You can gas up and travel anywhere with this ride. Four inches wastaken out of the roofline, and the b-pillars were slanted to really show offthat fastback look. Over 700 hours injust body work alone. More than $90K hasbeen invested in this car.
Other notabletouches are the molded front and rear bumpers. The rear of the Caddy has been modified to show a clean smoothlook. The dual rear exiting tail pipes addsthe “bad ass” appeal. The front modsinclude frenched headlights, custom grill work, and hooded headlights.
Those customfeatures add a more modern appearance that is complemented by shaved doorhandles, custom interior dash, late year 20-inch Cadillac wheels, and VogueTyres. The interior shows off theclassic car gauges, and Digital Dakota climate control system.
Under the hood you’ll take notice of the Holleyfuel-injected 383 stroked V8. It is astrong power plant that you can have great confidence on long distancetravels. This GM motor is mated to a700R4 automatic overdrive transmission.
The look ofthis Cadillac Fastback is unlike no other. The black paint on this car has a mirror like reflection. Once again, this is a fresh restoration andshows extremely well. These cars arerare and the mods sets it apart from others in that era. Please feel free to ask questions.
