1941 Cadillac Series 62 Deluxe Convertible Coupe Additional Info:

1941 CADILLAC 6267D Convertible Coupe. Clear Illinois title. Mostly original unrestored with the exception of a new correct Haartz top and boot by Riggs Bros in St Charles, IL and correct chrome top moldings front and rear, Top frame restored and re-chromed. Vacuum cylinders dressed/new hoses - top goes up and down slowly but surely. Original red leather interior with front seat lower cushion and rear seat back recovered in vinyl for closest match I could find. The front end was completely rebuilt including king pins and bearings 2 years ago including 4 rebuilt shocks by Apple Hydraulics. New WW radial tires and laser alignment by a local Goodyear dealer who's a classic car guy. Starts and runs good, cruises straight on the highway at 65mph. I have put 3k miles on since purchased 5 years ago. Has a lot of patina, chrome pitted but presentable, mostly original wiring, mostly original lacquer paint - flaking in spots. Original rubber door and trunk seals need replacement to. Have lots of parts / re-chromed trim that I collected for a '41 6109 sedan I had prior including set of reproduction fender spears that are available and could be included in selling price negotiation. Gets a lot of looks at cruise nights because of it's originality. A great value compared to a restored version priced $25-40K higher. Fun to drive without worrying about stone chips. Professionally rebuilt carb by QuadShop in Rockford,IL, rebuilt fuel pump with electric backup installed, electronic ignition that corrected hot start issue. All gauges work. Later year Cadillac script molding on front fenders added by previous owner. Original clock mechanism replaced with quartz movement. Original fender skirts included. Car located in Elburn, IL about 40 miles west of Chicago. Contact me for additional info. Car is for sale locally and online classiccars.com and Hemmings. Reserve the right to end auction early if reserve not met or car is sold. Could possibly deliver within 50 miles.
