1937 Cadillac Other Additional Info:
What I have up for grabs here is my beautiful 1937 LaSalle Series 50 Opera Coupe. This is one out of 5100 made for the 1937 model year and its in excellent shape. This car is 100% stock and the way it came in 1937. LaSalle was a marque under Cadillac which was created in 1927 to fill the pricing gap between Buick and Cadillac. It offered Cadillac quality for a slightly cheaper price but it included many of the features still found on Cadillacs during the 20s and 30s.
This car comes equipped with the factory 322 V8 and three speed synchromesh transmission on the floor. The car produces 125 HP and can easily cruise at 60-65 MPH. Engine starts effortlessly and the transmission is incredibly smooth. Both the engine and transmission have been maintained throughout the years. The generator, battery, and voltage regulator have been refurbished to factory specs within the last year.
The exterior of the car was repainted approximately 30 years ago. The paint is in excellent shape however it shows signs of crazing in spots. This is common for lacquer paint that's over 30 years old. The body is straight with no signs of damage or rust. The frame and undercarriage are exceptionally clean. It appears that this car was fully restored sometime within the last 30 years or so. All the chrome and bright work are in very good to excellent shape and they too have been redone.
The interior of this car is just as nice. It has the correct material and it too was replaced at some point in its life. The jumper seats work and they can be tucked away for extra storage space. The front seat is firm and plush providing for hours of comfortable cruising. All gauges work as they should. This car also comes with a heater and a radio. The radio is a 1937 GE FA-80 FM radio. This is one of the first FM radios offered in cars and it works great. Its refreshing to listen to your favorite FM station through an original radio. Headlights, fog lights, and tail lights work as well. This is 100% a turn key car and ready to go.
I am only selling this car to downsize my collection as I have several classic Cadillacs. Any bidder/buyer should ask questions before committing to buying. A deposit of 1000 dollars needs to be made within 72 hours. The final payment is due no later than 10 business days. Payment can be in form of cashiers check (from an established bank or credit union), cash, or PayPal provided the buyer covers the fees for using that service. Buyer is also responsible for transportation costs. If you choose to ship the car I have a shipping company that provides enclosed shipping at a very nice rate. This car is being sold "as is" without any warranty or return policy. This is your chance to obtain a very unique and rare prewar classic. Please contact me if you have any questions. Good luck!
