Grab a few buddies and hit the road for Vegas in this elegant 4-door 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. Nearly 20 feet of classic American steel might just be the ultimate way to arrive in style. It doesn't carry a big price tag, but everyone will think you're a high-roller behind the wheel of this great Caddy. And with only 57,130 believed actual miles on the clock, you'll be showing off for a long time to come. In the... '60s, Cadillac was synonymous with quality and style, and anyone who was anyone owned a top-of-the-line Fleetwood. Today, these cars are as iconic as Ray Ban sunglasses and a sharkskin suit, and when they're this affordable, there's no reason not to treat yourself to some high-end iron. Keeping a low profile will be virtually impossible with all that beautiful Sauterne sheetmetal, and while it's not the flashiest shade, you can't deny the mass appeal of a period-correct color on land yacht such as this. Although the paint's not perfect, it's still very nice it's in the right condition for grabbing some friends and heading out on a road trip and not worrying about dirt and bugs on the nose or parking it overnight at some out-of-the-way hotel on the coast. Chrome and brightwork make a big Cadillac statement and glitter against the subdued paint, and most of it is newer factory stock that will maintains its glow for years. The new dark brown vinyl top adds even more sophistication to the classiest car on the road, and the fender skirts harken back to a time when giant rear fins ruled the day, It's hard to believe cars this big were once the norm and today the interior feels like your living room. Plush Medium Beige leather seats with high backs make it easy to settle in for the long haul, and even the folks in back will feel like kings as you make your grand entrance everywhere you go (heck, in this car, even the drive-thru at McDonald's feels special). The seats were originally cloth, but reupholstering them in supple leather was a genius move that made this luxury car that much more luxurious. Everything from automatic climate control to power windows and locks to power seats was included and the stereo was upgraded to a modern retro-style AM/FM/AUX unit that slit right into the factory slot in the dash. Wood grain accents adorn the door panels, dash, steering wheel, and gauge bezels and provide a feeling of warm sophistication Cadillac hung its proverbial hat on for decades. And, of course, the trunk is massive and ready carry enough luggage for an adventure. Cadillac's monstrous 472 cubic inch V8 was the only powerplant available, and it's the right one for this big, beautiful beast. Effortless in everything it does, it has prodigious torque to move all that sheetmetal, and once you get a head of steam, it'll cruise all day at ticket-earning speeds. It's original, but fairly clean under the hood, showing signs of careful maintenance over the years. It starts easily, idles smoothly with a great V8 burble from the single tailpipe, and when you drop the TH400 3-speed automatic into gear, it eases off like a cruise ship. The ride is supple, the brakes are effective, and thanks to air shocks out back, you don't have to worry about packing in the back seat with heftiest of your colleagues. It's all-original underneath, but quite solid so there's lots of life left in this big four-door, and thanks to a set of 235/75/15 whitewalls wrapped around factory wheels, it's ready to rock. Style doesn't come any more pure than this. Show up in this car and you'll be the hit of every party you attend. Call today!
