1959 Cadillac DeVille Additional Info:
If you don't like attention, move on, this car is not for you. I have gone to fancy restaurants with high end exotics and each time, people will walk right past that new Lamborghini to check out this old Caddy! I bought this car as a very nice stock older frame off restoration and transformed it into what you see today. It has won numerous trophies even at shows I didn't register! I am not a big "car show" guy, I get enjoyment from driving. Everything on this car has been upgraded and its ready to drive cross country with performance, reliability and comfort. The original drive-line was removed and replaced with a fuel injected, all aluminum Cadillac L92 with 415 HP. Its backed by a 4L65 automatic overdrive trans and into a stock 3.25 gear rear-end. It's been dyno-tuned for peak performance. Cars gets 22-23 MPG. It has been upgraded to power disc brakes, be cool radiator with twin fans (car runs very cool) Factory A/C but all A/C components were upgraded. All the factory gauges, speed-o-meter and idiot lights were converted to work with the updated engine components, no ugly digital dash or after market gauges. Because I wanted a car to drive I spent a lot of time sorting out the little details, dash lights, interior lights, rebuilt wipers, cig, lighters, power windows, etc. The only non-functional thing I can think of is the clock. Even the original AM radio and power antenna work. It has dual accuair compressors with Slam bags air-ride with an e-level air management with transmitter to operate with your smart phone. The car will adjust to ride height upon starting and has 3 preset heights with full manual 4 corner control. It will also self adjust. The rear frame was notched to get the car as low as possible. Front shocks were relocated. It rides and drives like it's on a cloud! The front and rear suspension were also rebuilt. New exhaust with flow masters, new Diamond Back radial white walls. I have put about 5000 miles on this car in the last 3 years including a few family road trips. Cosmetics and air-ride was done by Montoya Customs. It was given a mirror finish purple paint job, the paint is a factory Ford color for easy touch up and repairs. The lower portion of the car was given a candy fade. It has a custom painted roof with monster-flake and candy lace. Lots of hand painted pinstripe that is under the cars clear. Chrome and stainless were redone during the cars previous restoration and are all still in great shape. New upholstery from headliner to carpet with a few custom touches like the Angry Orchid name plate, pin-striping and the most important cup holder! The trunk has been carpeted and the air management was custom fitted fro a "show" look. Under the hood I didn't want it to look like a trail blazer so the engine was painted Cadillac blue and added blue coil covers with custom Cadillac hand painted lettering to give it that old Cadillac look. Engine bay was painted purple as well. I don't need to sell the car but I just started a 1959 Buick project, therefore its available if someone wants to pay what its worth. It takes a lot more time and money to build a Cadillac like this than if it were a '57 Chevy!
