You are looking at a 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Two-Door Convertible. I received this car from an estate and was told their father was an old car hobbyist back in the 1960's & 70's. They further explained the car was bought as a project to further his collection. Obviously he never got around to doing the restoration on the car. This Cadillac Convertible is mostly complete with the exception of it's original steering wheel, spare tire & trunk tools. The car rolls & steers easily but has no brakes. As you can see by my photos, all of the doors, hood & trunk open, close & latch. After receiving the car, we removed all of the deteriorated carpeting so you can see the condition of the floorpan, interior, trunk floor, etc. The car appears to be mostly solid but has had both rocker panels replaced and has a few patches in the floorboards. The car was undercoated underneath which helped save the floorpan & frame. All of the clear window glass in the car is original and both door windows roll up & down. The drivers side windshield has a crack in the lower corner and the passenger side still retains an original 1967 Virginia Inspection Sticker. This Cadillac still has it's original front & rear seats but the entire interior was redone in red vinyl probably back in the 1960's. This dashboard appears to be complete with the original radio, heater, instrument gauges, clock, etc. The 1953 Buick steering wheel is the only non-original item. The convertible top bows are clean and straight and are not rusty or bent. The top has not been down in 40 years and I wasn't going to be the first one to try. After doing some research, I discovered that the VIN number 8350072 that is stamped into the back of the engine matches the number stamped into the frame and is also the Vin number on the title. The original V-8 engine is complete from air cleaner to oil pan and still spins freely but has not ran in years. Please understand you are bidding to buy, not to be the first one to look. If you need to examine this Cadillac you are more than welcome and I recommend that you do so. I am not interested in any trades. I am sure you understand this "rare" barn find will make a wonderful restoration or resto-mod project. This Series 62 Convertible comes with a clean clear West Virginia Title last dated August 1967 and the car has been stored inside a building since then. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding!
