1989 Cadillac Brougham Additional Info:

Nice Caddy! 1989 Cadillac Brougham D'Elegance with Premier Roof option. Only 56k miles and in 2005 a GM Performance 383 small block crate motor was installed. Adefinite improvement on the stock 5.0 liter. (305 cubic inch.) This was owned by Lance LeGault, better known as Colonel Decker on the A-team. He loved fixing up his cars, especially the engines. This was his favorite daily driver and used to drive into L.A. for his work.
I am helping to sell for Lance's wife. This car was put on a non op and notregularly driven since 2013 after Lance passed away, however it made 2 hour drive fine about a year ago. I just brought it down to my shop recently and installed a a new battery and a new starter. I checked the fluids and topped a few off. I did some researching and looking over the carand here is what I know...
GM Performance Crate Engine with GM tag on side of block. See pic. If yourun the part number it brings up a 383 long block advertised as capable of 425 horsepower. See additional screenshots of this block advertised. This caddy has an Edelbrock carb and intake manifold, hooker headers, flow master mufflers (fairly quiet forflow masters), hypertech ignition, and a flex fan. It also has two electric fans operated by a dash switch, as well as aftermarket tach, oil pressure gauge, water temp gauge, electric fuel pump... Alternator converted to one wire setup. Front and rear sway bars. Aftermarket rims. Tires seem decent.
The car is located about an hour and a half north of L.A. in California. It is on a non op and clear title. It will not pass Smog in it's current configuration with the aftermarket performance parts. Buyer responsible forfiguring that out, or if you live in a state or county with less restrictions, GREAT!
The motor when first startedand cold, has a little noiseunderneath, then after it warms it seems to quiet down to the point of maybe going away.Maybe it's totally nothing, please watch the video link (further down in ad) to hear it and make your own guess. Just want to be completely up front about anything I noticed with this car.
I have driven locally just a few miles to find that it seems to run well, shift fine (soft like a caddy, doesn't appear to have had any shift kit work) and stay cool though it has been cool up here lately. Since it is not currently registered beyond the non op, Ihave not driven long distance. You will wantto check the car out top tobottom before regular driving just to be sure everything is tip top, in case I missedanything. I did not inspect brakes but they work fine.
Allpower seats and windows and mirrors work. Lights work. Speedo works. I tried to kick on the dash fan to check on heater and AC but could not get the "climate control" controls to work, however twice now when I turned on the car it did work before I turned it back off. Maybe a wiring issue to track down. Radio works, did not check tape deck.Powerantenna works. Not sure about cruise control. I may have missed something else but I think that is it.
Interior is awesome. Coupleblemishes and a little wear but over all nice. Carpet a little worn but decent. Headliner sagging.
Paint may be a respray. Sun checking from previous paint can be seen in the right light under the thin respray?? Mostly on trunk. See vid.Couple dings. Nothing major. Some chips, scratches, blemishes. The worst is pictured, a touch up spot on driver side fenderwhere ti meets hood. Vinyl roof is nice. No rustanywhere. Shaved hoodornament. Very presentable and the white is very forgiving. Looks like a cream puff. Nice ride.
Comes with car cover and original window sticker. Missing cover over torque converter where trans mates to motor.Doesn't effect anything, seems many cars are missing this tin piece.
