I am selling my 1984 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. I am the 2nd owner, and have owned it for less than a year. I purchased this car with intensions of restoring it back to factory original condition, and it wont take much. I have just sold my house, and have placed my car collection in storage as I await the purchase of my next home. I buy and sell as a hobby, and I truly hate to let this one go, but I have other vehicles that I would like to complete first.
This Cadillac was purchased new in North Carolina, and it is the actual mileage. Unfortunately, the previous owners had lost interest in the family car after two members had passed, and were attached to the car. Thus, the car then sat outside in the weather for several years, and not touched. The hot sun and rain has damaged the interior, and will require a full interior restoration. I have removed the seats, to clean up the moisture held within the rear seat area. The top will also need replacement, and the hydraulic cylinders, as the shafts are rusted. The dash pad is cracked, and the electrical switches on the door panels need cleaned and or replaced.
I have replaced the fuel pump in the tank, and with a battery, it stated up and was amazingly quiet and idled very smoothly. I did drive it down the road approximately 5 miles for the photos, and I can tell you that it will require a set of tires (flat spots), and possibly an alternator, as the charge indicator light stays on.
*** The car has a small rust spot at the base of the A pillar front left side, where the driver door seal held salt water.
*** I do have a newly painted to match deck lid that will go with the sale. I didn't get a pic, but the under side is rotted from the saltwater.
My asking price, I'm surethose familiar, will agree is very fair, as you don't find many of these factory authorized ASC installed convertibles in the white/blue color combination.
