1991 Cadillac Allante Allante Additional Info:
For sale is my 1991 Cadillac Allante Convertible. 85K original miles. Triple black. Excellent condition. Also included in this auction is a 1990 Cadillac Allante with hard top. Lets start with the 91. Body and paint in excellent condition with no rust. Top is in great condition. It actually has a nice set of chrome rims on it right now that may also be included. I will add some pics later. Interior is also in excellent condition. Starts right up and drives and shifts great. Lots of power. I just took it out for the first cruise of this season and it ran a little rough like it had a small mis. I will have that looked at and corrected by the end of the auction. It has a fresh PA sticker on it. I bet less than a few hundred miles since the inspection. Look up how many things are included with that inspection. It may save you some questions. Any one that will be bidding on these cars knows their story. 60,000 plus new. Cadillac made these to compete with Mercedes. They all flew to Italy to get the body assembled. Really cool car. There were not that many of these made. Only made from 1987 to 1993. Can't be to many left in this kind of condition. Look them up. See what they are selling for. Now for some of the issues. Once again anyone that knows these cars know how bad a design they had with the power roof. I have had 5 of these. These are my last 2. Everyone was a pain to get the roof up and down. All of mine were a little different in design also. That is why I didn't drive this more. The roof will go up and down. But I feared being out somewhere and it would start raining and I would have trouble with the roof. Both the front motor that lock the roof down in the front and the back motor that holds the back of the roof or the boot in place works. Some times. The front you can lock in manually so not an issue. That one actually works most of the time. The back motor will move up and down at times but hardly will ever latch. I have tried to get it repaired but no one wants to work on those kind of things. All in all very little in the issue department just frustrating to me. The 90 is rougher. It will start up and run. It would stall sometimes for no known reason. It has 100 plus K miles. Complete car. Black leather a little brittle. I decided I didn't want to invest the money to make it nice. The reason I kept this was in case I needed hard to find parts for my 91. It will have no value to me by itself. The hard top alone is worth $500.00 easily. I planned on taking the roof and the back spoiler off get them painted and install on the 91. Once again this is a package deal. There will be no discount if you only want the 91. I am not adding that much value to it. So 2 for 1. Compare this auction to other comparables. Being sold AS-IS. I AM AS HONEST AS I CAN BE. I HAVE NO REASON TO MISREPRESENT THE CONDITION OF THESE VEHICLES. Check my feedback. The 91 should be able to handle any trip but it hasn't been on any long trips lately. If you plan on driving it home I will send it to my mechanic to double check everything. Just hope it doesn't rain HA HA. Still a fast sports car with the roof up but why own a convertible and not put the roof down. I disconnect the battery when it is sitting in the garage. It takes some time for the computer to reset itself so I am sure there are some lights flashing. Ask any other questions that you have. The 90 will need to be towed. Thanks for your interest. Check out my other auctions. I am selling a bunch of cool rides. They will be for sale locally and can be sold at any time. If you want to make an offer for a buy it now feel free.
