This Beautiful Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham d’Elegance is one of 52,960 made and was purchased New from Dimmit Cadillac in Clearwater, Florida by the original owner on June 28,1985 and traded into Dimmit Cadillac for a new car in February 2000. I purchased this car in March of 2000 from a wholesaler in Florida. The exterior color is Sandalwood 56 with matching Sandalwood 56L Leather Interior and Sandlewood 63T Vinyl Roof. This car has never been smoked in. This Cadillac Fleetwood is fully optioned including the premium d’Elegance Leather seating package ($1,800). This Cadillac is a low mileage car with only 96,630 original miles over 33 years. This Cadillac has the nicest color combination I have seen and with the chrome rear fins, bumpers and accent trim it always gets a lot of looks on the road and plenty of attention at car shows and cruises. The paint on this car is all original except for the right rear quarter panel which had been re-painted by the previous owner. All the front and rear plastic fillers are in excellent condition and show no signs of deterioration, cracking or fading found on the 1987 and newer models which used cheaper plastics. The interior is incredibly nice, no cracks whatsoever on the dash or door panels - the button tufted leather seats soft and show very little wear. I have cleaned the interior leather with Saddle Soap since I have had it which keeps the leather clean and moist preventing it from drying out and cracking as you will see on cars that are not cared for regularly. The Headliner is original and is in as good condition as it was new - no separation or sagging. This car has been kept in a heated and cooled garage which has helped to keep the interior from drying out from being out in the hot sun. These original 5th generation Fleetwood sedans are becoming rare and are increasing in value. If you have ever wanted an older style rear wheel drive Cadillac at a reasonable price you should consider buying this one. There are only three small issues I have not had repaired:

1. The air conditioning system has a slow leak. I refill the Freon at the beginning of the summer and the AC blows ice cold for a few months until it needs to be filled again.

2. There is a slow oil leak which appears to be the dome cover gaskets. This is not unusual for a 33 year old car and does not affect performance. If this is an issue for you at this price you can certainly have the oil leak resolved. This is not an issue for me.

3. As I mentioned the Right Rear Quarter Panel was repainted by the previous owner but after that there was something that scraped a line of the paint off just above the pin-striping. It appears it was touched up with the same paint the panel was repainted in. I tried to capture this in one of the pictures - not obvious unless you put your face up inches away from the panel. I do not want to have the quarter panel re-painted as it does not bother me and no-one at the car shows even notice.

I have tried to properly represent this 33 year old Cadillac and the pictures should present the good condition of this automobile.
