This is a very rare and original 1979 Cadillac Coupe DeVille D'Marchand Edition. I purchased this car last year from the original owner. I have the original title in the original envelope with a Oct. 1979 post mark. I replaced the timing chain, water pump, fuel pump, oil and filter, and much more. I tore off the old vinyl Cabriolet roof/half top and I repaired the only rust that was on the car, common on these cars. I included a couple of pics of the undercarriage to show the absence of rust, THERE IS NO RUST. The transmission had a rebuild at about 100K. I also replaced the rear quarter fillers.
This1979 Cadillac Coupe D’Marchand / Chicago Edition finished in its correct and original two-tone Sable Black and Slate Gray Firemist with a red pinstripe and Slate Gray elk-grain vinyl Cabriolet roof. The car is equipped with its original 425ci V8 mated to a 3-Speed Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission. The most important option on this car is the dealer-ordered D’Marchand appearance package which included the two-tone exterior color scheme but also came with matching two-tone Black and Slate Gray leather interior with red piping and matching door panels. Other features of this package included right-hand outside side-view mirror, dual comfort front seats, wire wheel covers, dark gray leather trimmed steering wheel, black vinyl trim (usually gray) and front fender moldings.
The car needs a half top installed. All the trim is included. Obviously she needs paint due to the recent repair. All the chrome is great. The interior is fair but the dash pad is tired.Tires are in great shape. I included a pic of this what this car would look like and be worth with paint and a top.
