Ok, here we go.
1965 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with 41,991k original miles and factory non A/C car. Was told this from the guy I got the car from. He said the car was an original southeast Colorado car and was bought from an old couple. Of course I cant verify it but looking at the interior and such I think its highly likely to be accurate. Has the 429 V8 engine that runs great and sounds awesome thru a newish dual exhaust. I'm sure it will run even better if it gets out of 8,400' elevation. I'm sure a tuneup would do it even more good. Nevertheless it runs down the road fine, steers like it should without a bunch of play in the steering, etc. Transmission is the TH400 and shifts as it should. No weird noises or smells from any of the drive train. Brakes work as they should but do have a set of new shoes in the box that will go with it. Does need tires but rather me put on something I like, the buyer might want to go a different direction so there just 235/75-15 normal tires on factory wheels and hubcaps (yes I do have the left rear hubcap).
Interior is 100% original 1965 factory other than the center section of front seats have been reupholstered to a velour type material. Interior is faded and dash cracked but is all there. Original radio that works but power antenna doesn't go up and haven't dug into it because it just wasn't that big of deal. All the gauges on the dash work except the clock. Turn signal stalk is missing so cannot verify turn signals work. Headliner is MINT except one small hold just behind the rear view mirror. Rear seats have some stains in them, some tears in tops of front seats, trim missing on the drivers side door bottom. Car is power windows and power seats and they do all work and can show buyer. Now a little more about that. The power windows and seats both are on same fuse and can run them up and down 100 times in driveway but once you drive it and jolt the car around it blows the fuse. I'm 98% positive its in the harness that goes from car body to drivers side door as you can see some bare spots. Was also told by several folks this is a common problem on the old Caddys. The windows are only operable from the drivers side switch. The rest of the wiring on the car and under dash is in excellent shape and not been hacked up. The wing window operating handle on the drivers side is there but the little spring clip that holds it on is missing.
Body is pretty straight but does have some rust as to be expected from 50 year old car. There is some previous body work on the drivers front fender. Missing passenger top headlight trim and chrome fender well trim on both front fenders. Has some rust in drivers rear quarter on the bottom as the picture shows and some on the back below rear window. Not sure if car has been painted in the past but has some crows feet here and there in the paint. Sun is horrendous up here in Colorado so would attest to some paint imperfections. There is some rust in the trunk as pictured and very aft cross member shows some rust as well. The drivers side mirror (only factory mirror, no passenger mirror) is included with the car but it is missing the actual round mirror. The mirror tree and mounting is all there. I have a round mirror from another Caddy that could be swapped onto the 65 tree to put that back together.
There it is folks. I try to be 100% honest on everything and have sold cars before on eBay. Don't want there to be any surprises. It's a solid car with allot of potential for however you want to build. Ratrod, slam it on bags, drop a 12V Cummins in it, restore it to 100% original or just drive it as it.....your call. Once again if you have any questions or would like more pictures don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!!
