1968 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Additional Info:
1968 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham - Only 63K Original Miles
I am the 3rd owner of this garage kept 4 door luxury sedan. It has a 472 cubic V8 engine rated at 375 hp, a turbo hydramatic transmission - with only 62,546 original miles. I purchased this vehicle in 2005 with under 61K miles from a retired police officer. The glove box even has the Cadillac Salesman's business card from the 2nd owner from the mid-70's. The upholstery has been professionally updated including seats, doors, headliner, & carpet. This consists of 3 complimentary colors that give the interior a classic look. This car has been garage kept since purchased (including previous owner), so the dash is perfect, no cracks or peeling - all original.
The Cadillac also includes a custom headliner for the 40" x 55" three-fold sliding ragtop. The ragtop was installed by the manufacturer, Street Beat. The clock does not work & the rear passenger window does not roll down from the driver's seat, but works sitting in the back seat. All the wires have been checked & my guess is one of the window switch's needs to be rebuilt. I've had all the necessary work performed to the engine & braking system. Some of the work performed includes: new spark plugs & wires, electronic igniter, distributor cap, electronic distributor coil, oil & filter, rebuilt carburetor, new battery, left & right rear wheel cylinders, left & right calipers, brake pads, left & right brake line hose, wheel seals, thermostat, PCV valve, brake fluid, vacuum hose, flushed radiator, & new valve cover gasket.
The AC system is complete & I was told the condenser needs to be rebuilt or converted to current R134A. The stereo system consists of matching Kenwood amplifiers & Polk Audio speakers. The entire system is controlled with an Eclipse CD Navigation head unit & secured with a Clifford alarm w/motion detector & hood pin switch. This sounds system & alarm was professionally installed, as evident with all receipts included w/sale of vehicle. Being a 40 year classic, there are some minor dents & scratches. The previous owner had put the two dents at the ends of the car-drivers side rear fin & passenger side front chrome bumper (see pictures).
Paint still shines as shown but its just not a $35k vehicle. There is also BFGoodrich Silvertown's 235/70/15 which includes the classic 3" white walls. I've only driven 100 miles on these tires which included a 4 wheel alignment. In addition to the Silvertown whitewalls, I also purchased a new 225/70/15 all-season spare tire for the trunk. I have the receipts for all of the work & accessories installed on this vehicle that will be provided with the sale of vehicle. I will be happy to work with you & your shipping company if need be. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Has been appraised by all my insurance carriers for $20,000 in its current condition.
Selling it because it's too large for my garage. Wife wants it gone and is willing to have me get a smaller vehicle. Open to trades for a Chevy C10 70's Shortbed Truck.
