Up for sale is very unique personally owned 1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible with a very interesting history and providence. I originally bought this car in 2006 from my investment banker and friend and then sold it in 2011 to a very good friend who is a famous DJ from Studio 54 who did much work on the car. After he moved to a smaller house in Brooklyn he offered the car back to me and I purchased it in 2015 and really haven’t done much with it since then but maintain the basics. I did drive the car a few times and it is still registered, but becuase I have too many projects now, I cannot devote the time and effort needed to make her road worthy and a head turner like she used to be.I will get into all the work that was done but first lets talk about the condition right now.
The top is brand new and was installed three years ago and the interior has been replaced and is next to new. The external body panels all have some scuffs and abrasions and the paint on the driver door does not match the rest of the car as it has been replaced. There is no rust on any of the body panels, and no rust on the undercarriage but some of the body fillers are slightly cracked which is common for these vehicles, and will need to be replaced. The engine and transmission run, but at present the car has not been run in about 10 months and will need a tune up and fresh gas to get it going again and a new battery. My DJ friend actually installed a rebuilt HT 4100 engine with a new camshaft in 2014 and the engine has maybe 4,000 miles on it. The tires on the car have all been replaced and the two front tires are new and the rear tires have 80% life left on it. The power top works flawlessly but the latch on the upper right has been compromised and doesn’t close flush to the body.
The exhaust and all front end of the car are near new and have very low miles as does the brakes. The electronics of the car all work for the most part except some of the switches are intermittent, and a whole bunch of replacement parts will be included in the auction including extra door panel switches, moldings, arm rest switches, face plates for the radio and assorted medallions and other parts totaling hundred and maybe thousand of dollars. This car is an excellent project car with everything there and that beautiful CR Rolls Royce Grill in the front that is in pristine condition and alone is worth almost $1000.00.With the right TLC this car can be worth way over 10,000 but will take the right bidder and owner to invest in her and restore her into her original luster. It is being offered here with no reserve and I suggest that you tow this vehicle out of our yard as it needs restoration before being roadworthy.
This car in parts alone is well worth over $3,000 as one local individual offered me $2,000 just for the rare interior, so bid to win as this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! A NON-REFUNDABLE $100.00 paypal deposit due within 24 Hours, and the balance due within three days. We reserve the right to end the auction at any time, or sell it to a local buyer, as it is offered locally. The car has a salvage Rebuilt title due to being in an accident and fully repaired and rebuilt in 1999 and can be registered in any state. Call if you have any questions. Steve 646 499 5763.
