1968 Cadillac DeVille Sedan DeVille Additional Info:

I am auctioning a 1968 Cadillac Sedan DeVille 4dr. Hardtop. The vehicle is equipped with a 472 4V, automatic transmission, power windows, power seat, AM radio, power antenna, climate control heat/AC, power steering, and power brakes. It has approximately 133,275 miles to the best of my knowledge. The title is clear and has an odometer branding of not actual (unknown).
The story behind this vehicle is that I purchased it for my father to restore. Before his death, which was a number of years ago (i.e. approximately 10 years around 2007), he had replaced the following items:
1. Power Steering Gear Box2. Power Steering Pump and Hoses3. Cam, Timing Chain, Lifters, Pushrods, Valve Springs, Valve Seals (i.e. Heads Rebuilt).4. Shocks5. Alternator6. Brakes7. New Radiator8. Smog Pump9. Radiator and Heater Hoses10. V-Belts
Keep in mind that this vehicle was stored in a basement and was not driven for the past 10 years until I removed the car about a three months ago. To get the car up and running I have replaced the following within the last few months:
1. Starter2. Fuel Pump3. Points/Condenser/Plugs*4. Master Cylinder5. Voltage Regulator6. Battery (i.e. approximate age 2 years old)7. Rebuilt the Carburetor
*Note: At the time of the recent tune-up, the timing was retarded to accept the low octane gas that is currently sold at the pumps. It will need to be advanced to accommodate for a higher grade gasoline.
Exterior:
Currently the car is running great, the engine is strong, the transmission shifts smoothly, and the brakes are functioning. Prior to his death, he repainted the car and I would consider the paint job to be fair, but far from perfect. From what I can remember, the car did have a vinyl top at one time that was removed prior to painting. I do know that he did repair the lower front fenders (both sides) and clear coated the paint. The car looks good from a distance of 20 to 25 feet. There are some runs in the clear coat because he never had the opportunity buff the vehicle prior to his death. In my opinion, the car would look better if it was buffed, especially around the chrome drip rails (gutters), because it appears he came back and repainted the drip rail channels (i.e. never buffed back into the paint). Additionally, another set of front windshield chrome (3 piece set) will come with the vehicle due the fact he found an additional set because he was not satisfied with the currently installed chrome around the windshield frame.
Interior:
There are no cracks in the dash pad, all four door panels are in good condition as well as the headliner and carpets. The seats are showing signs of dry rot and separation in the seams. At this time the seats would need to be reupholstered. All power windows are functioning as is the power seat. The AM radio works and so does the power antenna. The air conditioning will need attention. There are some heat stress cracks in the steering wheel itself. The clock does not work.
After close inspection, the following items would need to be replaced and/or repaired:
1. Tires - Dry rotted2. Tail pipe3. Resonator
Miscellaneous:
All of the floor boards and trunk pans appear to be solid. All lights are currently functioning. The wipers work and have had new wiper blades installed. The generator light flickers or illuminates at low idle speeds, but goes away under normal driving conditions. At this time, it appears even though this is occurring, the vehicle is charging appropriately.
