1948 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60 Special Additional Info:
For sale is an all origional 1948 Cadillac Series 60 Special Fleetwood, with only 64,537 miles. I bought this car from a gentleman who had it stored in his barn for 27 years. He used to start it and drive it around his property occasionally. He tried to buy the car for many years, knowing that the previous owner had the Cadillac stored since the early 1970's. This Cadillac is all original. In the pictures as well as in person the car looks black but it's very green. It starts right up, the engine runs smooth and is unbelievably quiet, the transmission and brakes work as they should including the emergency brake. The original paint still shines nicely on a nice straight body. There are a few spots on the top of the front fenders and on the drivers side front and rear doors where the paint is wearing thin exposing a little of the primer. All the chrome and glass are in nice shape. In the interior the seats and door panels are clean and in nice shape. The power windows work, except for the front passenger one, it moves slightly up and down. I think something is stuck inside the door. The tires are in good shape but are very old and hard. All the gauges and speedometer work, the speedometer needle jumps a bit, I think the cable needs to be cleaned and re-greased or replaced.
I am selling this car with a bill of sale only. Unfortunately the previous owner, over the years, lost whatever paperwork he got with the car. In the listing I had to put something for the title status so I put clear, but I don't have a title. If the winning bidder needs the car transported, my son owns Boston Car Carriers, an enclosed auto transport company, he will give you a good price. He services areas east of the Mississippi River.
