1967 Cadillac DeVille Couple DeVille Additional Info:
1967 Cadillac Coupe Deville. All in all this is a great car for someone who wants a solid, straight, rust free, mechanically sound cruiser or to go full show car. If your looking for a long and low old Caddy this is the one for you. I bought this car from a man who purchased it from the family that owned it since it was new. The previous owner only had the car for 2 years before selling it to me. The original owner had died in the eighties and his family put the car in storage in their barn in Idaho, where it sat for nearly 20 years. I have owed the car for about 10 years and just don't drive it anymore. The car has been sitting in my storage locker for the past 5 years with very little drive time. Mama says its gotta go, shes tired of paying that bill!
The car has been static lowered, nice loud stereo, 70# pop locks in both doors, pop lock in truck, (was going to shave everything) alarm system, tinted windows, glass packs, 90k original miles. The interior is very clean and original (Driver seat has small tear in the middle and the corner of both front seats have tears in them, very minimal for being original and still functions perfectly), car has been repainted during its life and is in OK shape (far from show paint). The landau top is starting to crack. I had always planned to remove the top when I painted the car so i never bothered changing it. The engine is the 429ci and in great sound condition along with the transmission. Car starts right up, doesn't burn a drop of oil, transmission shifts flawless, steers, drives, rides and stops amazingly. The car is complete missing nothing. All the chrome is on the car and in excellent condition. (missing the small chrome Coupe DeVille logo on the trunk lid) All the rubber is on the car and in very good shape as well. All original glass with no chips or issues. A small quarter size spot of surface rust behind the right front fender, its under the paint and not chipping or rusted through, very minimal. The trunk has a couple rust holes at the fenders. These are very minimal and nothing that couldn't be repaired easily. The passenger side rear wheel skirt has been replaced (Someone swiped it in a parking lot!) and needs to be color matched. The body is in amazing condition with a few dings here and there, nothing major. Tires are in good condition. Front 2 tires are showing inside tread wear due to the fact it is toe out from being lowered. Climate control runs heat but has an intermittent problem with the blower. Not sure if its a clogged vacuum line or stuck damper? A/C lines are not hooked up to the condenser but all is there and could easily be hooked up and charged (R-12). Paint is in OK condition could use a good color sanding. There is some spider webbing on the front horizontal right part of the hood. Original stereo still in the dash and all works including the power antenna. (The thing actually sounds decent for having the old factory 50 year old paper cone speaker!!) I built a custom center console to hold the new stereo and what was eventually going to hold the airbag gauges and switches. 0 gauge cable and fuses already ran from the battery to the trunk that feeds a distribution block that powers the stereo amps and is ran to power the compressors that were to be mounted on the axle hump. This model has all the bells and whistles Caddy offered that year like; power windows and locks, self dimming head lights, power seat, electric antenna, electronic climate control...etc. All of these items function as expected.
I've done my best to describe the car as best as I can, the good and just the OK. (I don't want to say "the bad" because there is nothing that is bad about this car). The car has always been stored in my garage or storage locker. Rarely saw water except to wash and wax. Many more photos available upon request. Sorry there is no photo of the engine compartment. It is clean and looks as you would expect. I can go down to storage and take a couple if requested. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will respond asap. This is a great running family cruiser that's a real head turner at a fair price. Car is registered as a collectors vehicle and I have the title in hand. I set the reserve at a very fair price for this year car in this condition. The 60ies caddies have been steadily climbing in price over the past several years; Don't miss this opportunity to grab a quality car at a fair price. I can arrange shipping anywhere, at the buyers expense. I will work with your shipper to get the car where it needs to be on the day and time you require. I can also set up the shipping locally, at the buyers expense. Buyer is responsible for all applicable taxes, transfer fees and or shipping costs. Would prefer not to ship over the border. Thank you for looking and good luck!
